9. I'm almost positive it's where the intestines are stitched at the bottom. I go back to my doctor tomorrow. Trust me, I will be asking! It has to be a routine pain if a bunch of us are experiencing it. I was worried when I thought I was alone. Ice packs help, so does pressure. Hope you feel better... Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
10. I can't find it.... I did a search. Can you send me an invite, Jessica McNabb, my profile pic is my 5 yr old standing next to a blood hound. Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
11. Glad you're doing better. I love the way tomato soup feels in my tummy. It's a little thicker and stays a little longer. Unjury makes a chicken broth protein. I've got some samples but haven't tried it. Maybe you are on your way to recovery... Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
12. That's the pain I've been talking about! It's debilitating!! I took a shower yesterday and had to lay down so my husband could clean and change my dressings. I thought I was gonna pass out from the pain. And what are you doing driving..lol. Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/12
13. Worst day so far.... The pain to the left of my belly button was almost unbearable! Didn't get my meds in yesterday, so that probably didn't help any! I'm still just getting in about half my Protein. Haven't used the bathroom in two days... Gas is awful and it wont go anywhere! Today was one of those "what have I done" days! Jess
Surgiversary 9/19/12
14. I wear a binder and keep an ice pack on my stomach. Hopefully it will heal and I will feel better soon. Jess
Surgiversary 9/19/12
15. Maybe it was too much or where it sat out for a little bit or dumping. When I dumped, I also dry heaved. I broke out in a cold sweat. My dad said I turned white. Mine lasted about 15 minutes then I was OK. I was so hot and my stomach was in knots! Hope you feel better... Jessica
16. I'm ten days out and still have a horrible pain to the left of my belly button. Sorry you're feeling bad... Hope you feel better soon! Jessica
17. Thank God I'm not going crazy. I mentioned this in another thread. There were a couple of us experiencing this. Mine is about 1.5 inches to the left of my belly button. My skin actually feels kinda numb to the touch. Right under my skin is a burning sensation like no other. I have to wear a binder and put an ice pack between the layers on that spot. When I walk I keep constant pressure on it. If I gag, cough or laugh it really pulls that spot. I'm dreading having to sneeze! I also take rx meds for the pain. Only seems to cut the pain for about 30 minutes. I literally feel like I could do jumping jacks if it weren't for that one spot! In my head I'm thinking that's where they reconnected our intestines. I'll see what my doc tells me. Every surgeon is soooooo different. Not glad you're hurting but you're not alone.... Jessica
18. I work in healthcare and my job requires lifting and pulling. My surgery was Sept 19 and I go back to work Nov 1. I'll work two days then be off the weekend. I'm fortunate to have benefits and get paid for time off. I bet I never get another day off for a while though...lol. Jessica
19. We stopped at Aarons and purchased one. There isn't much to choose from in this town...lol. As long as my feet aren't propped up, I can get up and down by myself. Jessica
