  2. Hello hunni, I'm having my band out on Monday. I've had it for 8 years and for the last 4 I've been the same as you and no proper food will go down. chocolate and biscuits will go down but Protein and all fruit and veg get stuck. I'm so fed up and have got chronic IBS and I'm sure it's because of the band. I burp all the time and have trapped wind constantly. All people be aware that there has been a study and after 5 years 50% of bands will fail! This is scary stuff, when I got my band I was told it would last over 10 years at least. The last 4 years have been hell!!!! I'm hoping that when I get the band removed there will not be too much damage to my stomach. Sending best wishes on your band removal. xx
