  1. Thank you for replying BeautyVGS! I would love to get Dr.Ponce's info.
  2. Thanks for replying. You are both reaffirming my gut feeling that a band isn't what I really want. I guess I'll ask one more time about other options. If they will only do lap band, I guess I should keep looking for a DS doctor. Vicki, I'm no surgeon, but I don't understand why making my pouch smaller isn't an option either. It seems like it would be the same concept as sleeving without having to remove the stomach. i'll keep looking into this, but I'm really having second thoughts. It sucks though because I've already spent almost $2500 on flights and deposits.
  3. Hi! Anyone still around in BKK? I live in China but I frequent Bangkok and used to live there. I need to find someone to do fills as I am getting my band this summer in Mexico. I really need a Hong Kong doctor but it looks like I may have to fly to BKK instead. Would love to chat!
  4. Hey! Has anyone had their band put in elsewhere but now receives follow-up care in Asia? I am scheduled to get a band in Mexico this summer, but I live near Hong Kong on Mainland China and there are NO DOCTORS that will take me as a new patient for follow-up care. One said if I wait 6 months he would give me a consultation. I can fly to Bangkok if I could find a clinic, but I can't do that monthly. Now I don't know if I should get the band! Please, has anyone had any luck finding a new doctor to do fills in Asia?
  5. Hi, I am scheduled for a LapBand with Almanza in July. I had RNY already and have regained. I really want pouch revision or DS instead, but I've been told they don't "prefer" to do that. You are not the first person I've heard that has had sleeve revision or mentioned DS with Almanza so I'm not sure why I'm being told a band is my only option. Any suggestions? I'm so glad to hear your revision went well and that you are back on track. That's all I want too.
