  1. I'm down 12 also Chrissy. The scale hasn't moved in days. My dietician says its normal to lose the first week then nothing the second week on the pre-op diet. The time has gone by a lot quicker than I thought it would. I'm not really nervous, but very anxious. I hope I can fall asleep tonight. Good luck tomorrow ladies. I'll see you on the other side!
  2. I've been living off Wholesome Goodness Low Sodium chicken broth. Only 125 mg of sodium per cup. It's the best tasting option I've found so far.
  3. Congratulations! How did it go? How do you feel? How much did you lose total on the pre-op diet?
  4. Good luck tomorrow ladie I'm okay Anali. Very anxious. I'm not weighing myself until I get to the hospital on Wednesday. I have to be at the hospital at 6:15 (right across the street from my apartment). What time is your surgery?
  5. I'm taking a month off. My surgeon said 3 weeks, my GP and neurologist said 1 month if I can take that much time off...so I did. I have a major neuro disorder so they are taking all possible precautions and are all going to monitor my rectory closely. This is the first time I've had a surgical procedure done since I had brain surgery in 2010. How are you all doing today?
  6. Thanks babykins! I'm trying to. I feel like such a wimp. I've been through a lot with my health and I have to remind myself why I am doing this. I'm so grateful for this forum and all the support.
  7. My roommate is about to order pizza. She's been really good about eating dinner before I get home since I started this so I shouldn't really complain, but ZOMG! Frickin pizza
  8. Thank you for the support ladies. I really appreciate it! Congrats on the 10 pounds Anali! I'm down 12 lbs, but the past 2 days have been hard. I've been craving food and nothing is satisfying my hunger. My stomach has been growling for two days straight and I've had zero energy so I've had to take a taxi to and from work. Ughhhh 1 more week
  9. Hi ladies - I saw my GP today and I'm definitely diabetic, but he's not going to start me on meds yet since I'm on the pre-op diet. Since I can't have sugar or carbs on this diet, he says I should be fine. I just have to check my levels every morning especially the morning of my surgery. Today has been so hard. I want food soooooo bad. It feels like day 1 all over again. Is anyone else experiencing this today?
  10. Hi ladies. The weekend was hard wasn't it? I'm 8 lbs down also since Wednesday (go us!), but I got some bad news today. I'm diabetic. My new blood work shows 7.1 hemoglobin a1c. I made the decision to get banded to try to avoid this outcome because all 4 of my grandparents are diabetic and so is my mother. Now I have to call my surgeon to see how that affects the pre-op diet.
  11. Thanks babykins! This is the boost I needed
  12. Got on the scale when I woke up. I'm 8 lbs down since Wednesday. This is definitely the push I need to keep going
  13. It will get better. I'm on day 4. I cheated today, but it was a Healthy Choice soup. Had I not given myself time to get adjusted to the diet and detox from my horrible relationship with food, I'm pretty sure my "cheat" would have been a bowl of buffalo wings, a pizza or probably both. My first day was THE worst. Good luck and keep in touch if you need support. Is your surgery scheduled for the 24th?
  14. Hi! Congrats on your date! Today was tough for me too. I cheated (a little) and had a Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup. Being home has messed up my routine a little, but I'll be back on track tomorrow. (6 lbs down )
