  3. jmcambra---it is totally normal to get cranky after you have worked your a$$ off---I have been like that from time to time---and I have noticed when I have been a little $%&* it is because I am dehydrated. Hey Carol--you will get off the plateau! I just did and I was banded a couple of weeks before you! Don't give up girl!!!! First day of antibiotics--should I make a ticker :heh: Just kidding!
  4. Hey Fellow Night Owl! I have the same problem as you----and miss that whole--"I am going to fill my plate all the way up and eat until I pop" I have started playing little tricks on my self to help this. 1. small plate 2. small fork 3. a little prayer that I must resist the temptation of Satan Food Ha Ha Anywho--so far so good. We will see. As far as contributing---do as much or as little as you feel comfortable. I certainly tend to read more than I post---but lately I have been kinda talkie! Take care! Denise
  5. Had a fill today, not as much as I had hoped for only additional .2. AARGH Then I had to go to my GP for my Brenda Vaccaro syndrome--or if you like my Frogie from Little Rascals syndrome. I feel like a lump of ookie stuff (trying not to cuss) Anywho, I have a sinus infection and an ear infection. Well it is a buy one get one free! I always believe that I should get my money's worth:phanvan So I got some pretty expensive antibiotics--no generic--I think kick backs---what do y'all think ( sorry just be snarky) So as you see, I thought it best not to post...but Carol made me he he :biggrin1:
  6. I make a mean pork rib in my slow cooker---and they rock Look...meat is meat..and we need the protein---just don't chase the ribs with "tater salad" Ha Ha
  7. I eat burgers all the time...but not bun I normally have buffalo burgers--high in protein low in fat.. Or turkey burgers with goat cheese and pesto on top..yumo!

  9. Hey Mary! I am so jealous of the 3.5 incline!!! I have only gotten up to 2.5 at 3.5 MPH. I am going to bump up the incline and let you know how it goes---but I don't know if I can do the 45 minutes--I have been doing 30 min and that's about it. I probably won't exercise today--I am SICK--I think it is a sinus infection...aargh--I am talking like "frogie" from Little Rascals! He He
  10. Congratulations! I am not pregnant yet---but I hope to be soon. I decided to get the band to lose the weight so that I will ovulate and perhaps get pregnant (this was a suggestion from my gyno/obs)
  11. Hey my ever shrinkin' Poster Bandster Friend! I am so proud of you!!!! You are like a celebrity!! Tell your doctor you want some kick backs!!!!!
  12. I get the left shoulder pain after I get a fill and when I have over done it when I eat. What I found out was that if the pouch gets too full ( or too much gas) it hits a nerve in the diaphragm that will then radiate to your left shoulder---pain from Satan as I call it. The best thing to do is after your fill...take it really easy---and the only way that I get the pain to stop is to lay completely flat or lean over a chair--I know it sounds weird. But it will take pressure off your diaphragm. Go luck with the babies!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you!!!!!!
  13. Hi There! I don't know if your grocery has this--but they are called Soy Crisp. They are like chips, but are made of soy. Soooooooo for 20 chips you get 9 grams of protein (yeah) and only 110 calories. The awesome part is that they go down really well!!!! And you get the added benefit of fiber and protein!!!!:hungry:
  14. Hey Marchie Friend! I liked your NSV! I have just recently started using the non-handicapped toilets...what a feeling to me able to open a bathroom door with out causing a bruise! He He
  15. Hi Carol and lilena, Even if you are slow losers ....your not at a complete stop. Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare? Do you remember who won? Yep that's right the tortoise! It doesn't matter how fast or slow we lose--just that we end up where we want to be! The scale will move---always think positive !!!!! and lilena---I loooovvvvveeee whip cream. It helps me when I want sweets!!!! Take Care!!! Denise
  16. Good luck to you!!!!
  17. Sorry Josibies- about not responding to posts. I am pretty horrible about it and I want to apologize. Please don't go to April--I will do better. Again, I am very sorry.

  25. Let me tell you that I was on a plateau for almost 5 weeks!!! I was really feeling defeated--and so I called my doctor at the end of June to see if my doctor will give me another fill- unfortunately he couldn't get me in until 7/11! Anywho, I decided that this may be normal--read about everyone on this post who is at a plateau!---so I bumped up the workouts--and cut out the carbs!!!! I really went back to the bandster rules---Get your Protein first!!!! The scale is moving Good luck to you! You can do it!!!!!
