I'm almost two years banded..just had surgery 7!weeks ago and I think something is not right somewhere. I think my breast redux has affected stuff. Sometimes I feel twinges. My port is located on top of my belly button n it's diff still after 2 years. Have to be careful not to wear clothing that is tight in that area jeans, tights etc. I see the doc tomorrow to checks things out, have not seen him think 6-8 months. Last time everything was ok. I don't have any reflux unless I eat mex food that I don't, but the Water n me, we r not friends, even a sip is a ton of brick. I don't have any stomach pain, or redness, gain some weight after this surgery but that was my fault, but start losing again since I catch myself, I get bloated a lot and easy, also constipated, taking miralax. All the weird stuff started after this past surgery. Will see what the doc says tomorrow. Prob is nothing since I. Ding scared reading all this posts. I was reading erosion starts happ after 2 years, since soon will be mine it's better if I check it have peace of mine, as not being easy. How u being doing with your band after 2 years?

I was banded May 2010..So far I had 6 fills..

My port don't hurt neither is swollen, red or anything. My port is on top of my belly button n is uncomfortable with the pants rubbing n sometimes when I sit or the way I sit. I had breast redux 6 weeks ago n it's being challenging, everything is off. Sometimes I'm fine n in a second get a little pain in my stomach. I still bruise n swollen from the surgery since the nurse told me that older people takes longer to heal. If I touch my boobs or something my stomachs n sides will feel the discomfort. I don't want to get physc when I read all the postings. This has not being a picnic this is a journey. It's a long time since I vomit, I place myself on shakes broth etc after the surgery bc that is when all the little things started. I loved to get info on other cases get prep just in case. My blessing to all of you.

I really hope you get better. Always have the same things on my mind, I'm new to this support group. My family only a few knows about it and still don't understand what I go through. I have lost the fun on food even chicken. That is great that the new doc numb you to do fills mine don't and believe me they hurt more than the surgery. I had my band on may 2010. With ups n downs as all. My band is located on top of my belly button n this sometimes is very uncomfortable. A month ago had breast redux n all my body is crazy including the band I place myself after two weeks of surgery on a light diet bc everything was hurting still is but less as time goes by, but when I stretch even my stomach hurts, my body is off so I have to take it easy. Everyone's heals diff so since I'm a little older takes longer, lol. I hope you the best I will continue reading very informative.

For me the filling hurt more than the surgery, that is painful specially when they cant hurt the right place n u start bleeding..My doc after my fills is 3 days on liquids for all of them..You are doing great...

Thank you so much..He know were he put the port and why, he also repaired a hernia when he place the band. I dont have hurtburn or anything except when I bend or my pants rub on my waist line specially jeans. I have a short torso so Im guessing that is not many place he had to placed it.. Unless I eat to much dont hurt..I being trying to recuperate from my last surgery and I think that stir many things all over..I put myself on soft foods n liquids n limited the quantities..I being reading about slippage n erosion n I dont think that is happening..I dont drink anything unhealthy n water sometimes is a pain, dont like it..Doing a lot of water trying to flush everything bad of the surgery, pain med n stuff, being taking it easy no lifting or nothing to agreavate the healing process..I had no fever, no throwing up or nothing stuck in a while, well stuck about 3 months, when i went to see my parents n they dont understantd what the band is eventhough I explain to them, they are more concern I dont eat much..I dont know if that happens to you, but i lost the fun even meat, cant eat chicken, pork or steak, after the surgery i make myself eating extremely chop chicken with my mashed pototoes or in my soap..But u have to do what u have to do..Will continue monitoring this soreness n little stabbing pain by my left side, prob is nothing mayor but everything started after my surgery. the portal I read other comments of other lapband they they are placed on the same place as my mine have the same problem.. thank you so much, hope to hear from you or anyone that have the same problems. At this point my husband dont understand much n he dont want to get to much involved.. I guess.. have a good one..

Good morning, this is my first time using the lapband blog. I was banded May 27, 2010. Lost about 70pound. Being having a love-hate relationship with the band. My band portal was place on top on the belly button. Its very uncomfortable specially when i sit certain way or move. also with some clothes bc is on the waistband. Until today still uncomfortable when to the touch, probably were is place is the problem. On top of everything is got breast reduction a month ago and everything is sore, including my stomach, everything is crazy. The portal dont hurt unless I eat to much but sometimes I have like shooting pain after this surgery n have not being the same.. I saw my doc about 6 month ago n everything was find, beside those problems i guess is not mayor ones..Nothing is hot in the portal have not had any fever or anything just from time to time some shooting pains n just uncomfortable bc were is place.. I am praying that when my breast reduction gets more advance all the rest of my body gets better...still very tight shotting pains also, n some parts of my ribs n chest hurts, some brusing still exist...I dont think can take something else wrong at this point or going to the doc n unfill something...thanks
