This message is for yellowrose88: I noticed that your BMI was 39.1 and with my insurance (aetna) they say they will cover if you have a BMI of 40 or 35-40 with a comorbidity. Who do you have for your insurance? Did you have any comorbidities? I went for one consultation with a surgeon (not at true results) and they said without a comorbidity there is no way my insurance will cover. Any advice/info you have would be very much appreciated!! Also any one else who has info or advice that may help, please send me a message or post here! Thanks so much everyone!!

Kerra, Can I ask what you did to get started? My doctor has said I am good to go with everything and she will get me anything I need as far as documents etc. I went to see the surgeon, he suggested a sleep apnea test as I currently have a BMI of 35.5 and no comorbidities. What was your BMI? any comorbidities? Anything you can suggest in getting the process started let me know!!! Thanks so much!!
