  1. Thanks bandedehs for your comments. I have been doing real good since my doctors have dialated my esophagus. I can eat ok now and my band is not problem. I damaged my esophagus with too much medications in the past with my fibromyalgia and not taking antacid meds as I should. It is all under control and and I feel much better. I hope you friend can do as good as I.
  2. My problem does not have anything to do with having my lap band. It is the medicine I took before getting it done. I have lost 100 pounds and would not trade anything for getting my lap band I was just wondering if any one else has had this problem.
  3. Have you had your band checked to see if it has slipped. I had acid reflux before being banded and I had not had any until about 4 months ago. I have 2 problems. my band slipped and my esophagus is closed up some. I had problems swollowing and things coming up. that is what caused my band to slip I hope you are not having my problems but it is worth checking. I have my esophagus dilated again Friday. Hopefully this will take care of it all. This is the first time I have ever had any poblems in 2 and half years. down 99 pounds. Good Luck
  4. I agree with Jerseygirl82 only I would add. Are you eating any carbs. Stay away from them for at least 6 months. Its been 2 years for me and I am down 99 pounds. Good Luck do not give up
  5. I just wrote a note about my acid problem but I do want to encourage the new people on this site. I would not change a thing. I am so happy with my lap band and I know all will be ok and I will be like I have been for the last 2 years. These 2 months is something I brought on myself and now I will have to get it corrected. Hang in there it is all worth it. Be strong and do all your doctors tell you. Good Luck to you all
  6. Friday I will have my esophagus dilated for the 4th time in 2 months. They are doing more this time Hopefully for the last time. Maybe a stint. I really do not want to have my band removed. My family doctor and my lap band doctor does not think it will have to be removed. I will let all know how it all comes out. Thanks for any comments you can send me. Encouragement would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Thanks for the reply I am having the dilation on friday the 30th and I am hoping this does it. He may put a stint in My band is completely open and I am on antacid meds for now. I am really hoping I do not have to have my band removed. My doctors all but one does not blame my band. I want to thank you for replying I was hoping to see if anyone else had my trouble.
  8. Thanks. It has all been worth it and I would do it again. I have ahout 20 more to go.
