  1. I met with my surgeon yesterday and my surgery date is set for April 27th. I have to start my liquid diet Sunday. I am really nervous about that! Wish me luck!! Beth
  2. dhales, I am going through True Results in Hurst, Texas. Sorry it took me so long to reply, I haven't been around for a few days. I had my consultation yesterday. Everything is moving right along. The surgeon's office is supposed to be in touch with me by Monday to schedule my meeting with him and then surgery will be scheduled. I am hoping for the middle of April. I was very impressed with the staff at TR, everyone was very informative and so nice. I feel good about my decision to go with them.
  3. Good luck today flab u less!
  4. Thanks Cocoabean. I carry my weight all over also. I must have alot of elasticity in my skin because even with all the weight i have gained I do not have one stretch mark anywhere.
  5. Just wonderfing if anyone has had WLS and not had the need for plastic surgery. Does everyone have the saggy skin after weight loss or has anyone's skin drawn back up?
  6. That is very true! My husband and I had a long, long talk about it last night and I am going full speed ahead!
  7. It is a little out of focus and hard to read even with my cheaters! Where did you find that?
  8. Not sure I can. The girl at True Results said there is an exclusion by the employer for no Lap Band Surgery.
  9. Well boo-hoo, just found out my insurance won't pay! What a disappointment.; Now to figure out if I really want to shell out $10,000 for the surgery. I know my health is more important than $, but that's a big chunk of change to let go of even if you have it! :/ Lots of soul searching to be done this weekend!
  10. I understand what the grren zone is (someone already asked that question), but what is the red zone? Beth
  11. I haven't had it done yet, but when I told my mother I was looking into it, she immediately went into negative mode. When I asked her to go online & just read about it (she doesn't know anyone personally that has had it done) she just ignored me. My bestfriend said I don't want to be negative, but.........and then proceeded to say nothing but negative things in a passive/aggressive manner. My husband is suoer supportive, he's my rock!!! My dad was great also. Funny but I knew these 4 important people in my life would react just exactly the way they did. So to tell or not to tell.......it's a personal decision and don't feel bad if you don't tell. What a shame that we feel something so positive is seen by others as negative and the lazy way out. They have not been in our shoes!
  12. I felt this would be the case, that everyone's experience is different. I know that everyone's body is different and reacts to things differently. Thank you all for the answers, I feel more & more comfortable with making a decision to do this every day. I am waiting now to hear back from my insurance co. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Beth
  13. I am looking into being banded as you all say. I have done nothing but read, read, read the past couple of days. As you all must know I have tons of questions, some of them have been answered, some not, so one of my questions is.....About the foods you cannot eat at 1st (corn, foods with seeds, etc...) can you ever eat these foods again or are they out of your diet forever?
