Cottage cheese definatly if you like it. I do not like it at all. It's very hard to get the protein in. My nutritionist recommended unflavored protein powder added to foods or nonfat dry milk added to foods.
Painted a fence?! I was bedridden for 5 days! As far as the weight loss, you could still have swelling and holding fluids from surgery. If you haven't lost much by end of week one id get concerned. good luck!
By week two I was eating lots of Greek yogurt (no fruit). It's very high in protein. Instant mashed potatoes, sugar free pudding, and skim milk with nestlé breakfast drinks. What kind of bariatric vitamin are you taking? Optisource is really good. Citrus flavored. You can get it at Walgreens. Good luck!
The pre-op diet is the worst part! I had my surgery on February 16th and I was so worried about not being able to eat whatever I wanted! My biggest thing was diet coke. I drank it up until the day of surgery and honestly dirt junk I would survive without soda. After surgery, trust me, you won't want to eat. There's no hunger pains and the discomfort of eating too much is enough to break that habit! Good luck on everyone's surgery. Stay focused through the liquid diet and the rest will be ok!
