  1. Hey Jennifer, I live in Baton Rouge myself. I got sleeved at OLOL on March 12th. It is a scary process but it is all worth it. My surgeons were great and I have nothing but an awesome recovery. Since my initial consultation in December, I have lost 100 lbs and feel great. Keep going and just remember, through all the pain and everything....we are getting healthy for our kids. Good Luck!
  2. Hey guys, Wanted to know if any of you others in here were having issues a month out with having to force yourself to have to eat because your rarely ever hungry? I know the sleeve is supposed to eliminate that but rarely do I have any hunger issues whatsoever. Hope everyone has a great day and walk with a bounce in your step cuz everyday you are a bit lighter than the day before!...
  3. Ya know its been a month now and its all still trial and error...Baby Food sucks lol. So I stick to mostly mashed potatoes and black beans or refried beans. Still trying to get up to exercising almost everyday. Its head vs. new body for sure. I find that the ghrelin that they talked about is definitely gone. I have to force myself to eat a lot. Holidays suck. I can't tell you how much i was asked yesterday. "How was your Easter meal?" Haha the five spoonfuls of mashed potatoes were great! Thanks. lol How are you doing?
  4. Hey Wonderwoman! Had my sleeve the same day. Protein shakes are bad enough. I will tell you one thing....I never want to eat soup yogurt or pudding ever again in my life. I am having a hard time trying to get all the vitamin schedules down. I was so used to gulping drinks too the whole sipping thing is difficult too. Hang in there! New life...new thinking.....new attitude! From fat to flat!!!!
  5. Pre-op diet has kinda stunk. I find my metabolism to be low and its hard to go out with friends when they eat and u cant. But anything worth doin aint easy. One week and counting! (Lifts up his protein shake) Here's to a healthier life!
  6. Hey Guys! New Pre-op Sleever here. Surgery date is 3/12/12. Started my 2 week Liquid diet today. Hunger pains are not fun to say the least. I am having my surgery done at Our Lady of The Lake by Dr. Hausmann. Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I can't wait for a new lease on life to begin. This has definitely been an eye opening journey to say the least.
  7. Congratulations!!! My surgery date is March 12th!!!! I hope all goes well for you!
