  2. According to my dr, you can have a fill every 2 to 3 weeks - minimum. Sometimes with scheduling, you may have to wait 4-6 weeks but never 90 days ask you dr about coming in sooner between fills.
  3. I don't drink sodas or crystal light.... I've been drinking isopure (different flavored & clear) for protein, 2% milk with extra protein, smart water and my protein shakes I purchased thru my Lapland dr. They seem to help with daily hunger urges.
  4. Yes, my dr told me to just eat the chicken - no skin at all
  5. I was banded in January...I can eat thin crust pizza but usually have to eat is very slowly (small bites!!) and only one piece. I haven't tried wings. Good luck!
  6. I was self pay too. I paid 800 before my surgery then about a month later I received a bill in the mail for 3500. It took 2 months for them to finally get it right. I don't understand why they couldn't get it right the first time but I guess it was a glitch in the billing department with coding or something. Good luck.

  8. Thanks for commenting and for your advice. I thought maybe a little "tweek" on a fill would do the trick --- I did make an appointment for next week. Again, thanks!
  9. My last fill was 4.6 cc in a 10 cc band, two weeks ago. Since then, I've lost maybe 3 lbs which is fine...but now I'm beginning to feel a little more of an appetite coming on throughout the day. I've been eating my Protein (about 60 grams a day) and veggies like I'm suppose to ( Water in between meals too) but I feel like I can eat larger portions before feeling full. What can I do to help fight the urge to over eat (larger portions) until my next fill ?? I feel like I'm doing everything right but not feeling the restriction like I use to. Thanks
  10. I have 4.6 cc's in a 10 cc band. I was like you...eating everything and anything and not losing any weight until my 2nd fill. Now I'm not starving ever 2 hours and feel like I'm in the green zone but as I lose more weight, my dr says I'll need to "tweak" to add another cc. You definitely need a fill so your "tool" (lap band) can help you with your cravings throughout the day. Good luck!
  11. I was self-pay too....my first year of fills are at no charge, then I'll have to pay each visit ($75) a visit for each fill. I'm sure I paid up front for my annual fills :-/ I agree with the others....paying for saline! Lol. I suppose all drs can charge different rates for surgery. They set the rules.
  12. Thanks everyone for posting!! I'm new to this forum. Yes, I'm getting atleast 60 grams of protein in my daily diet....taking my vitamins...no sugar or caffeine....and I'm exercising 4 to 5 days a week. I am hoping getting another fill tomorrow will help me. I'll keep you posted tomorrow Thanks again for your feedback and encouragement!!
  13. Have a 10 cc band. I'm currently at 3.6 cc's. I have NO restriction (feeling hungry all day!) and I'm NOT losing any weight--- I'm even exercising daily! I go in tomorrow for another fill. I hope it helps because it is so frustrating to feel this hungry all day!
