  1. Thanks so much, you all r right its just precaution, I will try to be calm on Tues. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.
  2. So I had my endoscopy planned for this Monday at 8 am at an outpatient place , they called me today and said the annacstetialogist (I know that is spelled horribly wrong) looked at my file and because of my BMI they want me to have my Endoscopy in the hospital instead. Now I'm like is something wrong, I'm so nervous about it now. I told the doctors office why don't you just set it up at the hospital first....also I was like I can't be he first person seeing u for wls with a high bmi, they were recommended by by wls doctor. Is this weird, should I be worried, did anyone else have it in the hospital or have this situation happen to them? Thanks for your help.

  5. Hopefully my spare tire roll will be gone and I want to wear some nice blue jeans and a plain ole fitted t-shirt.
  6. Also I can't wait to not be bigger than my husband. I want him to be able to pick me up...literally off the ground...lol
  7. Does anyone have a picture of themselves during their mass hair loss. I'm so nervous about this, even if it does grow back, do you get big bald spots, is it really noticable, did you have to explain it to people, do you look crazy???? OMG
  8. I can't wait to not have to over think everything...from what am I gonna wear, what if I don't fit in the chair, what if I look like an idiot, where to shop, etc. I'm ready to not be the biggest person in the room! Just to be normal, relaxed and go with the follow because I'm not worrying.
  9. Hi- I have an appointment with a pcp for my medical clearance soon. I actually don't have a pcp, so I am going where my husband has gone and a coworker too. What needs to be done at this appointment? Is it up to my surgeon, is there paperwork I need to bring from my surgeon, will I need further testing and stuff done? Thanks...doctors make me nervous, that's why I don't have my own pcp. And now with this surgery I feel like I'm seeing tons of docs :/ maybe I've always been scared of bad news...
  10. How did you hear? Did your doctor tell you or dis you call your insurance? I have BCBS but live in Va. I figured IL stood for Illinois?? Thanks
  11. Great post, so honest. You can do it, You are ready for your new healthy skinny life! Congrats!
  12. Thanks for sharing, its helpful to hear others stories to prepare. What are gas strips? Do you get them in the hospital? If not where do you get them?
  13. I'm also seeing Dr. Halmi, I like him too. My 6 mth is July 2nd. I teach so I'm hoping to get approved quickly by insurance and have the surgery over the summer.
  14. I haven't had my surgery yet, but I don't plan on telling anyone except my mom and husband. I am private and don't like judgment from others. I plan on telling them the same, I started eating right, watching my diet closely and exercising and say thank you for any complements. I find when someone complements me I feel some need to explain myself more, such as someone saying I like your coat and my response is thanks I got it at...., so when I get a remark on any weight loss I will have to just stop at the thankyou and the rest is no ones bussiness.
  15. Yes fairoaks bluepoint. I wish I was on the 3 mth plan, have u had your surgery or going to have it soon? Which doctor do u have?
  16. Today I had my 2nd nutrition meeting on my 6mth journey and it was a waste of my time. They gave me a 10 page handout about exercise and my 19 year old dietian read each page outloud to me. Just wanted to vent that this meeting cost me $50 for nothing...these weight loss programs know how to make their money... Oh well
  17. I want to know if I have to rush to do my sleep study. My surgery is not till July or Aug. I'm worried that I will be surprised with bad results from the sleep study. I don't think I have sleep apnea, I sleep all night long without any issues I know of and my husband says I don't snore. But I have read that some people r totally surprised and then have to wear the machine to sleep. Since my surgery is so far away I don't want to get stuck with the machine for the next 6 months. What are the doctors looking for with the study other than if you have sleep apnea or not?
  18. Hi- I teacher kindergarten and am starting the process to get my sleeve. I am wondering; 1. how long you (as a teacher) took off work? 2. what did you tell your principal and coworkers? 3. how did you feel when you returned? Were you able to move a lot since I teacher Kindergarten I am worried... My 6 mth diet ends in the beginning of Aug and so I am not sure if I will be able to have my surgery in Aug and time to heal or if I might have to wait and take like a week off before winter break and have it then, giving me like 2 weeks to recover.... Thanks
