  1. Went to seminar almost two weeks ago. Still waiting to get a call for first consult. I hate waiting!
  2. Well after two weeks of watching what I eat only lost 2.5 lbs. But I'm at my family doctor was yold that my blood pressure is high, ( imagine that) getting blood work and seeing what he thinks about the lap band. Wish me luck
  3. Am in process of trying to get approved for the lap band. I'm 5'7 241 lbs. Bmi is 37.9 I have slightly high blood pressure and my husband is continuously waking me up cause of snoring or cause he says I'm gasping for air. I have also had 8 surgeries on my knee and severe arthritis. I went to the seminar filled out all paperwork gave them insurance info, I also called my insurance to check on requirements, and co pay info. Has anyone used bcbs of Virginia ? If so how long was ur wait before the actual surgery? I'm excited to get this started and be able to to fun things w my kids again.

  5. I also have just started this journey. Did the seminar and paperwork yesterday. Was told to wait 2 weeks the would start with my lap work and testing.
  6. Went to the the required seminar yesterday, then called my insurance . Found put bcbs of Virginia does not require pre op diet or 5 yr medical history. Now I'm waiting for the insurance pre approval before I go in and speak with the nutrionist and pych. I'm so excited to start this journey
