Yes, I know it's not a bruise. That was obvious. I'm talking about the needle. I NEVER had a needle that big and certainly no one ever left it in my belly like that!! With a needle that size, there's no way it would stand straight up like that.

Ethan is here and already bowling. I think he's going to be attached to the Wii all day. If it warms up into the 20's I'll take him outside to jump around in the snow a bit. Suzie.. I agree with Terry.. not enough protein to start out your day. I had 1/2 cup of tuna salad with soy nuts for breakfast today. An egg and cheese just didn't sound good to me this morning. TracyK.. wish I was there to help you pack up. I was just thinking that if I had to do that here, it would take a week just to pack up all of the Bobster's books!!! PamELa.. pics, pics, pics of the tattoo when you get it. And an honest report in on how it felt.. My sons all have multiple tattoos. Joe has Ethan in big letters down his forearm and his wedding date on the opposite wrist.. in BIG roman numerals. DD Joshua has lots of colorful tattoos, one saying "only God can judge me". And the other son has weird ones... he's the son that has mental problems. His were done by "friends". Need I say more? Kat.. hope Manda feels better today. Guess she feels well enough to go into work. That's a good sign, at least. And the chicken and noodles should help. Mae.. good for you on the workouts! Wish I could get that motivated. I just do a little here and there. I've started the Stephen King book and yikes.. it's a good one. It's all short stories and I'm on the 4th one today. Off to get dressed for the day. Good evening, Violets. I'm done with rehearsals for the day and I got my hair cut and colored so I'm a screamin' blonde again. Kat.. prayers for Manda. It's good that she is where she can get the agressive treatment. Sure is COLD here still, but no new snow. Sounds like you got hit pretty hard, Michelle and Jenn. Piehole report for today. Breakfast: 1 egg with 2 slices swiss cheese Lunch: 1/2 cup tuna with orange segments and soy nuts Snack: strawberries and cream buzzed in Magic Bullet 4 whole wheat crackers 2 with peanut butter Dinner: 1 small caesar salad with dressing on the side 1/2 bacon bbq burger without the bun 2 liters water Everyone have a good evening. Ethan comes tomorrow morning so the Wii will get a good workout!

Good Morning, Violets.. 10 degrees here.. a heat wave!! Don't know why I'm up this early. I don't have to be to flute rehearsal until 9. Then it's a lazy day until choir rehearsal at 6. The Bobster has a church meeting out of town so I'll be on my own again today. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes not. Going to go figure out something for breakfast. I love jelly beans!! At least I don't have to worry about making Easter baskets for kids anymore. That was always my downfall... 1 for you, 2 for me, 2 for you, 3 for me. I've done very well on my eating since Jan. 2 and I'm thrilled with the 9# I have lost, but have stayed at 174 for several days now. Normally this would cause me to say "what the @#$$" and eat "just a little" of this, that and the other thing. But not this time around. This time I'm sticking with the good choices, no sugar and lo-carbs and just waiting. If I can't get to goal this way, then there just isn't any getting to goal at all. I'm doing just what I'm supposed to and will continue. I have a cruise in 2 months and I want to be down another 10# by then. That would put me just 13# from goal and would be a great incentive not to overeat on the cruise. My support group helps a lot. It's the same as talking to all of you online, except it's in person and you get to see results along with hearing about them. I passed the soup recipes and pouch test along to everyone last time and am anxious to see if it helped anyone. Our next meeting is Feb. 14 I just finished redoing my budget to include the $400 a month loss starting in April. We'll have to tighten our belts for a couple of months, but when I get my SS checks starting in July, things will be back to normal.. even above normal and that's a good thing. My goal is to be credit card free in 3 years. It's a daunting task on a fixed income, but it's something to work for, for sure. Off to surf the net and play some hearts. The Bobster is reading on his Kindle. We look like two retired techno savy old farts!! Catch you later..

And Laura... Cadbury mini-eggs are my all time favorite candy. Crunchy shell and melt in your mouth chocolate. I can't go near them in the store or I'm going to blow all the good habits I've acquired in the past month. arghhhhhhhh

Good morning, Violets.. Just back from my hospital shift and have the day to myself until rehearsal this evening. It was -14 when I got up this morning. It's +13 now and the sun is shining. No new snow for us, thank goodness. Haydee.. in Michigan we are required to meet an certain number of teacher/student contact hours. At the school where I taught, we had time built in a couple of minutes a day to "bank" time for snow days. If we don't meet the time requirement, then days are added at the end of the year. The most we have ever added during the time I was teaching was 4 days. Believe me, those are not productive days in June!!! But we used to start late August so the kids actually got out in May so added days didn't extend that far into June. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about all that stuff now. Retirement is great, for the most part. We got word yesterday that the Bobster's pension payment would decrease by $400 a month starting in April for 6 months. His pension is tied to the stock market and we knew this was a possibility, but sure didn't expect it to be this bad. Luckily my pension is ok for the time being and I'll start getting Social Security in July. Just hope I can round up the money to buy plane tickets to Alabama and pay for the room!!! Terry, please send out a reminder when the time gets close for payment due, k?? My old brain might not remember that part. Off to fix some lunch for the Bobster and I and then work on my budget.
