Good afternoon, Violets.. What a dark, dreary day it is here. It's been raining on and off all day. Ethan has been playing Wii and watching cartoons. His daddy comes to pick him up at 5 and I'll be off to choir. PamELA.. I'm anxious to see the finished tattoo..I just don't want to think about all the pain!!! :thumbup: Michelle, just imagine what religion would be like if all the pastor's wives were like me!! :thumbup::eek: Off to take care of the last load of laundry. I wanna ride my new bike!!! The weather is just not cooperating.

Nope, haven't seen it. I'm hooked on Rock of Love/Bus tour and Ru Paul's Drag Race. I need help.

Good morning, Violets.. I'm just waiting for Ethan to arrive for the day. It's a very dreary looking day out there. We are supposed to get rain most of the day. The upside is that it should get rid of more snow. I can see lawn in the front yard now, but not in the backyard because of all the trees shading the sun. I have a rehearsal this morning and then choir this evening. I'm going to go over my suitcases and make sure I have packed all the right stuff. I have to find an umbrella for sure. Jenn.. your house looks wonderful. I love the colors of the kitchen from the cupboards to the countertops to the walls. Very, very nice. Ethan just arrived so I better scoot. Will check in later.

Good afternoon,Violets.. Got the breezeway all cleaned up and just finished dinner. We had polish sausage, saurkraut and corn. Now to sit and relax until rehearsal tonight at 7. I'm listening to the CD I made of the recording the Bobster made of the concert. I need to redo it. There are too many thumps from the vibration of the recorder on the laptop. I told the group I would redo it after we got back from Hawaii. Tomorrow is choir and I have to meet with the organist before that to go over the music for the service in the evening. I'm playing two flute solos and singing on solo. After that, I'm done with all meetings and rehearsals until after our trip. I can't wait to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet and warm weather. Everyone have a great afternoon and evening. Will check in when I get back from rehearsal.

Good afternoon, Violets.. I too slept in this morning and had my hospital shift so didn't get to get on here as usual. I'm sitting in the easy chair right now with my lap top on my lap (where else?) and a yorkie wrapped around the back of my neck. I've been having fun on facebook reconnecting with people from high school. What a hoot!! So glad I didn't get old looking like all of them.......... Michelle.. Bob is at 9.5cc's in his 10 cc and he still can swallow a handful of pills, but there are times like this morning when even coffee wouldn't go down. You just never know. Try the 5 day pouch test and see if that helps. It sure did for me. It's a quiet day here today. No Ethan till tomorrow. I have rehearsal tonight and want to get the breezeway cleaned up today, but that's it. It's 34 degrees out, no sun and the wind is howling. We were supposed to get freezing rain this morning, but thankfully we didn't. No trike riding today. It's supposed to get up to 50 tomorrow so maybe I'll be lucky and get to use the bike before we leave for Hawaii. We're going to go get a Grady fix on Thursday and then stop there on our way out of town on Friday. I'm waiting for a phone call from Social Security. They called this morning and wanted to go over my online application. It was a voicemail so I'm waiting for them to call me back. Everyone have a great day.. I'm off to surf the net and then clean the computer room. (that's the same as the breezeway:wink:)

Good evening, Violets.. I'm back from Community Chorus and relaxing with the lap top while I wait for CSI:Miami to come on. I'd love to watch DWTS, but the Bobster would leave and go upstairs cause he doesn't like watching that "stuff", so I bite my tongue and watch Rachel Maddow with him and at least spend time together. Besides I'm having fun on Facebook. Yep Tracy, the countdown to Hawaii is at 4 today. I started counting in July when I got on the cruisecritic board. I'm meeting Renee, Shirley and Patty at 5:30 at the Aloha Cafe. Fun, Fun, FUN!! CSI is on, so I'll chat with you all tomorrow. Have a good evening. Sleep well!

Someone from my high school graduating class messaged me and it's been great connecting with others from my class. Now it might not seem like a biggie to most of you, but you have to remember it's been 44 years since I graduated!!!!! and that's older than most of you are! What a hoot catching up with people. I'm off to Community Chorus and then relaxing the rest of the night. I got my bathroom spic and span and have had Ethan all day. Tomorrow is hospital volunteering and cleaning the breezeway. Suzie.. thanks for turning me on to Freecycle. I looked it up here and we have a Yahoo group in Alpena. I'm waiting now for a young lady to come and pick up our black swivel rocker. What a great way to disperse items that you don't need anymore. I love not having to load and haul stuff somewhere.

Wooo Hooooo!!! I am officially an OLD FART now. I just finished my application for Social Security set to start in July!!!

Back again.. I finished breakfast and have been on the lap top ever since! PamELa.. our trip is 7 days. We fly to Honolulu and get right on the ship and then cruise the Islands. We have a day and a half in Maui, then a day at Hilo, a day at Kona, a day and a half at Kauai and then back to Honolulu. We have a whole day in Honolulu on the way back so we're taking a tour of Pearl Harbor and the city itself. We leave here Friday to head to the airport 5 hours away for a 6 a.m. flight and arrive in Honolulu at 2:30 their time. It will be a really long day. We are meeting some online people for dinner the first day. We've been chatting on cruisecritic.com for months now. That's one of the fun parts of each cruise.....meeting up with people you have talked to for so long, just like here in LBT. We got a call from the cruise line this morning and they offered to upgrade us to the Owner's suite for $500 more a person. I said no.. I'd rather spend the $1000 (if I even had it) on "stuff" not on a room. The room normally goes for $4000 so you know it would be sheer luxury, but I'm there for the location, not the ship. Off to the real world and cleaning the toilet.. :frown:

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up waiting for Ethan, but apparently he's not coming this morning. We didn't get a call about the schedule for the week and no minutes on Joe's phone when we tried to call him last night. I don't mind watching Ethan, I really LOVE it, but I hate being taken for granted. I could have slept in this morning. Luckily I had a nice nap yesterday so am not overtired today, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time so I didn't have to set the alarm. Congrats to the fill ladies, Michelle and Kat, today!! I know I am at my sweet spot. I had several pb's over the weekend, just from eating too fast. I think I am like I was pre-band and start eating like I used to and then bam.. it reminds me that things are not as they seem!!! But it's a great feeling knowing the band is there and working. This is our last week home before our cruise and I'm trying to get the house as clean as possible so we come home to a clean house. Our cruise is 1 week long, but we'll leave this Friday and come home on the 5th or 6th depending on how tired we are when we get to the airport. It's a 5 hour drive home from there and we might just spend another night in Detroit to rest up. We have a beach day at Maui with some whale watching and a sunset cruise, a trip to a volcano and Rainbow Falls, a tour around Kona and Maui and our friends are arranging for us to go to a laua in Kauai along with seeing the Fern Grotto. I'm so excited to be finally doing this trip after 40 years of promises. I can soon check it off my bucket list. I'm going to go have some breakfast, read the paper and then clean the bathroom downstairs. Everyone have a great day!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Well, we got a total of about 3 inches of snow and it's finally stopped. Temp is 33 and a little tiny bit of sun. No triking today. sighhhhhhhh I haven't done the chores I planned yet. I did get the laundry done and ironed the Bobster's Hawaiian shirts. He's all packed now except for the last minute things. Now I need to tackle the toy area. I finished the last of the corned beef and cabbage for lunch. Now nothing but Water until Meals for 8 tonight. The hostess is making stuffed shells. That should be interesting. I don't do well with Pasta. Maybe I'll just eat the stuffing and forget about the pasta. You'd think she'd know better.. she's banded too!! Everyone have a great afternoon. Catch you all tonight.

Good Morning, Violets.. The BAD news is it's SNOWING here today. We got about an inch last night so no biking today. The GOOD news is, one week from today at this time we'll be in the air headed for Hawaii!!!!! Nothing on the agenda today except cleaning up the toy area and living room after having Ethan for 8 hours yesterday. Poor kid was really tired of Gramma and Grampa by 8 last night. Kris called yesterday and she was doing very well. Grady slept from 11:30-3:30, nursed and slept til 6:30 so she got some sleep too. They are having friends for the weekend so she'll get some extra help. We'll go over to see her next week and give her a break while I get my Grady fix before our long trip. Off to get dressed for the day. I've already had my ham salad with soy nuts and oranges so I'm good to go and just waiting till I can start my first liter of water. Everyone have a great weekend!!!
