96 days till Haydee and Juan's wedding!!

Well, my team lost. Everything is cleaned up and put away. Time to head to bed and read a bit on the Kindle before I fall asleep. Ethan comes at 8 in the morning, then I have my hospital shift at 9-12. Nothing else until church board meeting in the evening and dinner out with friends. At least the house is pretty clean after the big "party". Everyone sleep well.

Actually Janie, I haven't had anything except the dessert. It's oatmeal and crushed pecans on the bottom, homemade caramel in the middle and chocolate on top. I ate everything except the stuff on the bottom.. Everyone said the dips were good. I had a piece of pizza and was too full for anything else... (except the dessert). Sipping on my white cranberry/peach juice now. Hot chocolate with Miralax in my future. Doesn't that sound yummy??

I'm looking out the window waiting for you Janie!!! If you don't get here soon, everything will be gone! I'm chowing down on a thin, thin crust pizza. We'll bake the dips and have the shrimp and dessert during halftime. YUMS!!

Good morning, Violets... Busy day today. Leaving at 8:30 for church.. then lunch afterwards, then singing rehearsal from 1-4, then dinner out, then getting ready for the Super Bowl. Got my bbq baked bean dip, spinach/artichoke dip and seasoned oyster crackers on hand. Kris is bringing shrimp and some kind of dessert.. help me Lord!! Everyone have a great day!!!

Wow... 'Snowmageddon' Now if we had that much snow it would be called flurries.. :thumbup: Hope you're staying warm, Michelle. "They" say you won't be able to leave your home for at least 5 days. Seems impossible that you have that much when I'm looking at bright sunshine and birds at the bird feeder.

Just got an email from a friend whose daughter just had a baby a week ago. She named her Emerson Violet... How kewl is that?? (hint, hint, Haydee)...

Michelle... you would think that if they can figure out things like Miralax for humans, they could certainly figure out something for animals. Hope everything comes out alright for him... literally. We are just having a few flakes of snow, nothing like what you are getting. Gotta love that jet stream and the effects of global warming on it. We have 60 less inches of snow this year than last. A new Sausage Shoppe opened up today in town so we headed there to get some sausage. We have some honey BBQ brats for supper. Plus we got some different kinds of smoked sausage to have with cheese and pears for a snack tonight. yums!! Off to Walmart to get the groceries for tomorrow and the big game.

Good morning, Violets.. Michelle....how are you holding up there in the frozen tundra??? We are getting a smattering of snowflakes here, but certainly no blizzard in the forecast. 16 degrees out and the birds are at the feeder chowing down. I didn't get up until 9:30 this morning!!!! I did that because.... I can! Nothing on the agenda today. There is a new sausage shop that opens today in town so we might make a trip out there to see what it's like. Gotta get some groceries for snacks tomorrow, but other than that..no Ethan, no Grady, no meetings, no rehearsals. Whatever shall I do with myself??? Everyone have a great day today.

Blizzard?? Snow??? I know not these words of which you type. It's a balmy 23 degrees here with no new snow in the forecast. What a difference a few hours makes. Have fun!!!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Everything went well at the dentist. She said whatever I'm doing to keep doing it cause my teeth were in better shape this time than 6 months ago. wooo hoooo. Nothing much on the agenda today. Going to fix left over pot roast for supper. I had some egg salad when I got home from the dentist since I had not had breakfast,but guess I ate it too fast cause it all came up. I fixed a roast beef sandwich a little later and it stayed down. Live and learn. Not much happening this weekend. Kris and Nathan and Grady are coming over Sunday to watch the game. I'm fixing spinach cheese dip and baked bean dip.. a new recipe I saw in the paper yesterday. Kris is bringing shrimp and that will be it. They are coming to church since there will be a substitute preacher. Ours is gone to a career assessment seminar to see if he should be a pastor or not. Oh, joy. I have a rehearsal for our singing group from 1-4 Sunday. We have a concert in March and always add a long rehearsal a month before so we can work out all the bugs. (wrong notes). Haydee.. my mind can't wrap around $5,000 for a caterer... my whole wedding was less than $1,000. Course that was years and years and years and years and........well, you get the idea.....ago. Off to read the Kindle on the PC. People magazine asked some famous people what their favorite love story was and Tom Hank's answer was The Story of Edgar Sawtell. That is the book I'm reading now.. Off to make a peanut butter sandwich for Ethan. Everyone have a good Friday!!

And the last shall be first... Good morning, Violets.. Dentist appointment today and Ethan arrives at noon. That's my day. Off to find some breakfast before I scrub down my teeth for the teeth cleaning. 28 degrees and cloudy here, but no new snow. It's been a crazy winter here. Everyone have a good day. I'll check in after my appointment.

Ok.. please tell me that was the $3,000 caterer and not the $5,000 one!!! Pot roast came out great. It's so strange to have potatoes and carrots cooked in 5 minutes. The roast took 50 minutes and tasted like the ones my mom used to roast in the oven for hours. Just installed a wireless printer for our laptops. So kewl!!! Now I don't have to forward things to my desktop pc to have them printed. I just push a button here and then walk to the breezeway where the printer is. Project Runway tonight... can't wait. Off to have some blueberries and cream for dessert and then Kindle a while until PR is on. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Busy day today and yesterday not much going on so not much to post. I was up early to welcome Ethan for the day and then went to the church to fold bulletins, rehearsed for a couple of hours with my flute quartet and then had a hair cut and color. Got home at 1 and had lunch.. egg salad sandwich. I made the mistake of saying the words "swimming pool" to Ethan today. Now he keeps asking when we can go swimming. I said if it keeps being this warm, we'd be able to open up the pool earlier this year. Now he thinks I mean today. I said when the snow is alllllll gone. I have nothing else planned for today. Going to put a pot roast in the pressure cooker and see how that turns out. I've had one in the slow cooker, but never the pressure cooker. It takes 45 minutes, so we'll see. Got all my bills paid for the month, so now I'm going surfing for a purple dress. Everyone have a great day. Hope you're feeling better, Janie!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Well, I DID it!! I did 30 minutes on my glider while I watched the View. Sure felt good. I just took my shower and am waiting for my favorite shirt to dry in the dryer before I get changed for the day. Haydee.... eat their placenta????? EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!! I've heard of burying it, but eating it??? Gross me out!!!! Sorry you've had so much extra to do at work. Guess he had you all fooled, eh? Was he fired because someone suspected this, or was it just downsizing? Laura... video was cute. Those are my little people. I just loved 5 year olds. ;o) Off to warm up left over Chinese from last night. I didn't get any breakfast this morning. I'm just not hungry and nothing sounds good. I know... I need to work on that bandster rule.

Good morning, Violets.. Kind of a lazy day here today. Now that Phil has seen his shadow, I have to prepare for 6 more weeks of this cold, snowy stuff. But it's bright sunshine outside right now and 17 degrees. I have to catch up on laundry and EXERCISE today!! I'm headed up to the gym to work out while I watch The View. Everyone have a good day. Good evening,Violets.. So much for a lazy day. I did my hospital shift for 2 hours, came home, had lunch and then went to my meeting. We are planning the worship service for next Sunday. Our minister is doing a career assessment seminar and the sub is so creative. He's a former local actor and started up Alpena's year round professional theatre. Anyway, he had lots of ideas for the service. I'm singing some communion songs and he has the choir sitting on the floor of the sanctuary instead of up by the altar where they usually are. We had to remove the privacy rail on both sides of the church. What a job!!! It took Bob and I two hours to get it done. But everything is set up for Sunday. Now I just have to practice the music. MICHELLE!!!!!!!!! KUDOS ON THE -8#!!!! I'm so proud of you. Wish I could say I did the same, but only -3# for January. But no guilt here.. I did the best I could with eating, following the rules. Just can't seem to shake the pounds like I could when I first started this journey. I had 1/2 a Jimmy Dean D'lite breakfast sandwich this morning for breakfast, 1/2 cup tuna salad with raisins and soy nuts for lunch and 1 cup of chinese for supper. It was called Hawaii 5-0.. beef, chicken, shrimp, lobster and pork in a brown sauce with a pineapple ring. Very yummy and I have more than half in the fridge for lunch tomorrow. I had a snack pack pudding for dessert and will have some hot chocolate for snack in a little bit. That's it for the day. Just wish I had the energy for some exercise. I got my new Kindle today!!! It's way kewl and I can't wait to start reading on it tonight. No Ethan tomorrow, but Grady will be here for a bit. A singing rehearsal tomorrow evening and that's my day. Hope everyone had a good day today. Where is Haydee???
