Good morning, Violets.. The concert went beautifully yesterday. All the musicians were amazing. I sang Hallelujah from Shrek and I was very pleased. I've never sung a popular song in front of so many people before. I was accompanied by guitar and flute and it was the perfect blend. But I'm glad it's over and I can relax for a while. Church was good yesterday. The conference minister gave the sermon and it was very informative about the process and making it a "good" good bye for Rev. Orth. I guess he's staying until the middle of July. I only have to see him one more time.. this Sunday is Gospel Sunday and then I go to Rogers City with Bob for church the rest of the summer. I'm going to the board meeting tonight. Should be an interesting one, to say the least. Off to my hospital shift, then some yardwork, getting the dogs to their groomer and the meeting tonight. That's my day in a nutshell. We had some trouble with the pool, but it's all fixed now, thank goodness. The water level was so high after all the rain we had, we put the sump pump in to drain some of it. When it was done I unplugged the pump and when we got up yesterday morning, the pool water level was wayyyyyyyyyyy low. Bob finally figured out that even though the sump pump was off, it was still draining water. Once we took that out and added more water, it was fine. Whew. Now to get it warmed back up and the chemicals adjusted. I haven't been in the pool for a week with all the stuff that's been going on. Hope to get in it tomorrow again. Ethan comes at 10 for a little bit. I appreciate every minute I can be with him cause in a couple of months I won't have any more time with him at all. Everyone have a great day! BBL

Wow..must be the weekend!! Everybody is busy. Just got back from the open house. Lots of great music and typical food. But the fellowship was the best part. Just got word that the pastor is staying until mid-July.. he has a 90 day clause in his contract so it could be worse. I just hope he's gone before my knee surgery cause I don't want him coming to see me in the hospital. Off to Walmart to get some more dirt and a couple of veggie plants and then going to get some water out of the pool before it overflows! Everyone have a good evening!

Janie... no, the ones I've had are usually meat or veggie filled. And I think they are baked, but not sure. Off to support group meeting and then back here to get some things done today. Going to be a very interesting day in church tomorrow. The choir is not singing because our organist is my Godson's mom and she's taking the Sunday off after the open house. (Don't blame her). So I get to sit with Kris and hear about the future of the church. I am going to volunteer to be on the search committee for a new pastor. I sure don't want a duplicate of what happened before..

Good morning, Violets.. Dreary looking day today, but no rain in the forecast which will be good for my Godson's open house. It poured last night and we have to empty some water from the pool before it overflows. Mae... glad your daughter is doing well. Everyone have a great day!!!

Good evening, Violets.. Just got back from having dinner out with Kris and family. She and I shared a peasant's pasta... pasta with olives, spinach and hard salami.. very good, and very filling. Tomorrow I have lap band support group and will have to take Ethan with me since Bob has a funeral. Then we are going to a graduation open house for my Godson. After that.. more yard work. Just one more little area to complete and it will be all done! I see the end of all the hard work...finally! Will take pics when it's all completed. Michelle... Bob says the only drawback of the pastor leaving is that now I will stay and direct the choir at least one more year. Course now when he's done with his interim church, he will feel comfortable coming back to our church so we'll be worshiping at the same church together again. Off to read a little bit more before zzzzzzzzing. Ethan comes at 7:30 again tomorrow morning.... Everyone sleep well...

Good evening, Violets.. Finally, finally , FINALLY... our pastor resigned today. He met with a Conference representative who laid out the facts and sadly enough, after everything we have been through with him... he said he didn't have clue. He will not be preaching in our church again. The Conference rep. will be preaching this Sunday and will be explaining everything to the congregation. After that we will have subs until they find an interim. So onward to healing and getting the church back to where it was before this guy took over. Amen..

Good morning, Violets.. Just back from WW weigh in. -.2#, not much, but still a loss. I had a piece of very rich coconut cream pie this week and I think that did me in.. plus the fact that I can't do any regular exercise with my bum knee. I need to get back in the pool today and work out. I got new water dumbbells since Jetta chewed up my other ones. Off to get some breakfast and then head to a church ladies luncheon later. Big meeting with the pastor (yes, he's still here) today with our conference representative and the chair of the church board. My fingers are crossed and I'm saying prayers for a good outcome. Everyone have a great day..

Didn't Will Ferrell play the electric piano in that skit?? Or am I thinking of something else? I just finished my 3rd rehearsal of the day. I'm singing Halleujah with guitar and flute backup. It's my favorite song to sing right now and I'm soooooooo enjoying it! I couldn't believe my luck when I was asked to sing it for the concert. Ethan was here until 7:00 tonight.. long day for the little guy, but we had fun.. He will be here again tomorrow and I will get to go in the pool with him. I have WW weigh in in the morning and then a church ladies luncheon at 11:30 and then the rest of my day is clear except for babysitting Ethan and then Grady comes at 4 so I'll have both of them. Gramma overload!!! Off to Walmart to get a few things and then settle in for the night with tv and reading. I started a new book.. I'm really enjoying it.. House Rules by Jodi Picoult.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Just finished my first practice and now off to the second of the evening. The third one is at 8 p.m. Sometime in here I have to figure out some supper. Ethan is here till 6:30, and I am done at 6:15 so hopefully will be here when he leaves. It turned out to be a beautiful day and Grampa and Ethan spent some time in the pool. I plan on doing that tomorrow. I planted a couple of Chinese money plants the other day and today planted one of the Ostrich ferns. When I turned my back and was planting wildflower seeds in a couple of pots, Ethan proceeded to dig up those things I had just planted.. arghhhhhhhhhh We talked about not shoveling in Gramma's flower garden. I have to get that boy busy with mulching instead of digging!! Off I go to the next rehearsal. The fun never ends!!
