Pics are in the camera.. videos are on the Flip. I'm hip deep in laundry and babysitting. HOpefully pics will be downloaded by this evening. Things will be more back to normal tomorrow once I can find my land legs. The whole house is gently swaying. Always happens to me after a cruise.

LUUUUUUUUUUCY, I'm home!! It's back to reality again. The trip was just wonderful. My house is swaying still though, so I don't have my land legs back yet. Waiting on Ethan to arrive, doing laundry today and catching up on 7 days of posts I missed. Will check back later!!

74 Days til the Violet Bandiversary Bash!! Luuuuuuuuuuuuucy.. I'm Home!!!

Just checking in Violets... Internet is expensive and slooooooooooooow so I won't read posts. Just know I miss chatting with you, but we;re having a GREAT time. Today we are in Casa De campo, Dominican Republic and tomorrow we'll be in Labadee, Haiti. Then it's once crusing day and then home. It's been an awesome cruise. Fantastic entertainment, great food and I'm doing lots of exercise!! Hopefully the scales will be kind when I get home, but if not, it's been a hell of a day at sea, Sir!!! Everyone take care and I'll check posts when I get back on Monday. TracyinKS... have a beautiful wedding!!!

Good afternoon, Violets. This will be my last post before heading out. We had a nice breakfast out with our cruising buddies this morning. They can't go on the cruise with us this time so they were sending us off with their good wishes. They will go on the same cruise in two weeks. We are all packed and will start loading the truck soon. My DSIL, the P.A. called and he had such sad news. He had a client that was 400# and had tried to get approved for lap band. His insurance turned him down. Well, Nathan, my DSIL called the insurance company and gave them hell and told them he needed this surgery or he would die from the weight related complications. The insurance company finally agreed and he was to have the surgery this Thursday at the same hospital where I had mine. Unfortunately he contracted Stepsis from the cellulitus in his legs and he died yesterday. Nathan had given him my email address so he could ask me about the surgery and he was so excited to finally be able to have it done. His father passed away 6 months ago from the same thing as he was overweight too. This guy was only 30!!!! I told Nathan he needed to call the insurance company and tell them that because they wouldn't approve him right away, they participated in his death. Soooooooo sad. Whenever we Violets worry about a pound or two we need to remember those who never were given the opportunity to try. You and I are very fortunate. Everyone have a great week. Drink that water, make wise choices and I'll try and do the same! I have my bracelet to remind me each and every day. Love you guys!! I'll miss ya! Will check in as often as I can afford!! (try not to talk too much while I'm gone!!)

Good morning, Violets.. TracyK... ummmmmmmm did I mention we are going on a cruise this weekend?? I think it might be a teensy weensy bit of fun for the Bobster and me. Michelle..I see on the weather map that you're getting pounded with ice and snow. Glad we're not flying out of your neck of the woods!! Hopefully Michigan will stay clear. We've never flown in the day of the cruise before, we usually fly in a day early just to be safe, but we booked the air with the cruise company so they are responsible to get us where we need to be. I'm off to my hospital shift. Will check back in later.

Gina... your hubby has great taste! They are very flattering to your face. I love 'em! Tracyinks.... about the colorful widow... suffice it to say I got smacked. She loved "that thing you play". As the Bobster said... "I've never seen anyone grieve like that". She was flitting all over and loud and "racy" to say the least. The co-pastor said she could write a book about the adventures of this past week with her. I think it would have to be R rated!:grouphug: Well, I'm done with everything for the day and now just have tomorrow to get through. My dryer is broken and they are coming to fix it tomorrow. then I'll have to get all my laundry done and the house cleaned so we can come home to a clean house on March 2nd. We still have lots of ice around here. Temps have been in the teens so things are not melting very fast. It's supposed to be in the upper 30's by Monday so maybe when we return home I'll have a de-iced driveway! Going to go out to the hot tub and do my exercises and then relax a bit before bed. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well!

Evening, Violets!! Flute playing went well at the funeral today. Lots of compliments on the way I looked. I haven't seen some of these people for a few months so it was great to hear their comments. I went to Peebles to check on their clearance sale and got a couple pairs of slacks in a size 12... got home and they fit with room to spare. I think I probably could have gotten away with size 10's!!! I just can't believe it! Got the pics from our New Day Singers and that was an NSV... I don't look like the heaviest lady there anymore! Cause I'm NOT!! Here are two pics... the one in pinks was taken before lap band surgery. The second in black was Tuesday evening.

Evening, Violets.. Just in from the hot tub and as I was laying back to do my ab crunches, I look up and see the moon and realize I missed the lunar eclipse.. arghhhhhhhhhhh Would have been so neat to watch in the hot tub. Tomorrow I have a funeral to go to. A gentleman from Bob's little church died and I am to play flute during the service. Only trouble is, the widow is such a character. She's LOUD, obnoxious and often time hilarious. Bob said when he was at the funeral home tonight, she grabbed his butt a couple of times. Now, how many of you have grabbed your pastor's butt????? And whenever she sees me, she swats me on the arm and yells.. HEY,WHEN YA GONNA PLAY THAT THING AGAIN?? She can't remember if I play flute or trumpet. So I can just picture what is going to happen tomorrow when I walk in with my flute. And hopefully she won't make any comments during How Great Thou Art. It's going to be an adventure for sure. She's in her late 70's and has the brightest red hair you've ever seen. Oh Lordy, I'm gonna need prayers tomorrow!!! Well, I'm off to get out of this wet bathing suit and into my nammies. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

I, on the other hand, was blessed with BAZOOMS. And of course my kids sucked the life out of them so now they are just huge deflated balloons with nipples pointing south.

Kat... the only time I have perky boobs is when I let them loose in the hot tub. Then they float!! Literally!!! Would that it was that simple!

Good Morning, Violets.. Up and attem early today cause I have a flute rehearsal at 9:00 for a couple of hours. I am stiff as a board this morning, probably from all the stretches I did yesterday with my stretchy band thingy. Also worked out in the hot tub and we need a new mattress. All that combines to make me pretty uncomfortable this morning. Pamela... I just bought the new Stephen King book to take on the cruise. Susanne and I will have to compare notes. TracyK...you had a great weekend and birthday and now it's back to reality. Same thing happens to me on cruises. You gain and then the great thing is once you get back into your routine, you will lose those extra pounds. You know you can do it so don't sweat about it! Keep your eyes on the goal and keep moving toward it. You're closer than anyone here and you WILL make it! We ALL will!! (end of cheerleading session:wink2:) Suzie...all I need is a relative who dated Clay Aiken and I'd be swoonin'! I only get to see a little bit of Idol because of rehearsal, but I don't pay too much attention until they get to the final 12. Then the fun starts. Anybody watch Biggest Loser last night. Holy smokes the weight that blue team dropped! Can you imagine if we dropped 16# in one week?????? I'd be dead for sure. time to go get my hair curled and teeth brushed and get on my way.
