  6. Hey guys:) I was banded today around noon and home by 4:30! It was different than I expected immediately after surgery. I felt the gas like-whoa...I expected uncomfortable but not electric pains. The staff could not have been more awesome and I really recommend If you need anything don't be shy-speak up for yourself and what you need. You can still be funny (right before I went under I was talking about dirty martinis and dreaming about olives). I have been walking around a lot which I still can't believe but it actually feels awesome. I feel better and better every hour. GasX and popcicles are rocking my world right now. Big hugs to this group-I as reading even in the post-op room If you have any questions I will totally answer- I know my surgery will be different than others but I'm here if you need me! Xoxo Rebecca

  10. Hey my Febs! My surgery is at 9:45am tomorrow and I'm in crisis casual mode. My surgeon is Dr.Elli at Day One clinic in Chicago. I will give you all the dish as soon as I'm good to go. I'm a big lurker but I read everything you say in this group and thank you! You have made such a scary thing much less sweaty/teary. This is a great group of Febs and I'm proud of us all!! Xoxo Rebecca

  12. You guys are really fantastic...Mostly I can't believe how much of my day was spent eating/prepping/organizing my food. Maybe it's time to take up knitting to keep my hands busy. What are some of the things you have picked up since your lap-band?

  14. Yay- thank you so much for the support! My particular diet is all liquid and my shoes are looking SO tempting. I am a major sugar addict so I think that is what's causing a lot of my headaches. You guys rock..

  16. Hello my fellow Febs I am having my surgery on Feb. 20th. On the same day my sister-in law is having my first neice by c-section. Currently the family joke is that we are having dualing abdominal surgeries. I am kinda freaked out, scared, excited, nervous and wanting to chew anything and everything. My last meal before my pre-surg liquid diet was brie, salad & rack of lamb which I INHALED and have been dreaming about for the last two days. As much as my friends and family are supportive it's so great to see people who are going through this process and know exactly whats going on. I can't wait to get great advice and support my fellow banders.

  18. Hellooo My name is Rebecca and I am having surgery on Feb 20..I'm on day 2 of my 14 day pre-surg liquid diet and any tips or tricks that anyone can give me will help. I had a killer headache yesterday but today seems to be better so far (allthough I am def having issues remembering things/diet or just me?). I'm going to say a "nice to meet you" ahead of time and hope I find some great people with good advice here. thanks
