I am so happy I made this decision. It has been 2 years and I am down to a size 10 from an 18. My health issues have improved unbelievably.
  2. Sorry if I missed the answer to this question but wanted to know if there is a fee for the conference itself (not hotel, etc.)? Thanks.:tongue2:
  3. Is there a cost to the conference? uote=ajoneen;1062506]It is not "definitely decided", but it looks that way.
  4. I live in Monroe NY (about 1 hour from NYC and NJ). Either venue could work for me since I could come back and forth if need be. NJ would be fine for others if getting into NYC is close enough so that others can enjoy getting into the City without having to spend a ton on hotel. Since I live close by, let me know if I can help with any of the venue. I've done event planning and expos in the past. Stephanie
  5. I was banded in March and due to a few gall bladder problems, have not had a fill yet. I also have severe asthma and take steroids. The steroids tend to put weight on without eating. I have only lost about 32 pounds and am looking forward to a fill but do feel restrictions when eating food that is not chewed well or anything with a lot of starch. I am not eating half of what I ate before but look forward to more weight loss.:clap2:
  6. Thanks all. I had some gallstones after my surgery so was on IV fluids which helped get me started. I also love the carnation instant breakfast drinks and even drink them for dinner or have half if I feel hungry. I am a little nervous about the first fill though. Just when you get adjusted its like starting over again.
  7. Has anyone gone through their insurance? Why Mexico?
  8. Hi All, Just introducing myself. I was banded on March 12th. I wrote a thread the other day in another forum to someone who is having gallbladder problems which I have had. Anyway, lost about 15 lbs so far and starting to feel pretty good. People have noticed the difference in my face. I think I just feel good knowing I've made a big step in making a difference in my life.:clap2:
  9. I had my surgery on March 12th, came home, no problems. The night that I came home had excutiating pain in my upper back and abdomen and went back to the emergency room. Needless to say, I was in the hospital for 9 days total with lots of tests for my gallbladder. It seems that I had a numerous amuont of stones lined up in my bile duct and when I did the testing for my gallbladder, it took mine over 2 hours to open up. The morning I was slotted to go back to the OR to remove my gallbladder, the stones had started to pass and, thank God, I did not have to be cut up again. Anyway, back to normal after a week and feeling really great. I wish you luck.
  10. Hi, Currently I Live in Westchester and have a house in Monroe where I spend weekends. We plan to move to Monroe within the year. I was very happy to hear the information offered about the groups in Middletown. Do you know the times they are held. I work in Westchester and would have to do something at night. Stephanie
