  1. It will get better. I had my surgery on 3-1-12 and I felt really bad afterwards, but I feel much better now a few days later. You will feel better tomorrow. You will prob really need those meds though. You might want to reconsider that. I have a weak stomach too but I've been fine with taking the meds on an empty stomach. Good luck!
  2. I was banded on 3-1-12 and am feeling better everyday. I know that I'm not ready to go back to work though. I'm like really surprised that so many of you are back to work after a few days off. My dr gave me up to 6 weeks off and I'm planning to take no less than 4 weeks depending on how I feel. I work in a plant and am constantly bending and lifting while standing for up to 12 hours, so I'm going to take it easy.
  3. Good luck to you. I'm getting banded next Thursday, and I'm nervous but also excited. I keep hearing that the worst part of the surgery is the gas, and once that passes I should feel fine. I'm going to take something for gas the night before my surgery and hope it helps. I'll let you all know how everything went. I keep thinking about how good I'm going to feel after dropping some pounds. Whatever discomfort I have will have been worth it. We are on our way to looking better and feeling better.
  4. I'm on day 3 of my pre-op diet. It is definitely not easy to stick to but I've been good so far. My surgery date is March 1st and I'm going to stick to this diet. I've been fine on this diet during the day time, while I'm at work. When I get home it's a different story, then I have to prepare and smell food which makes it hard. We can do it though, we just have to be strong. Good luck
