  5. http://www.netrition.com/healthsmart_chocolite_protein_shakes.html Here is the link to the website....
  6. Try the Healthsmart Chocorite Protein shakes. They are really really good. It is a powder 2 scoops 24 grams of protein with 12 ounces of water but I use 1% milk which makes it have 36 grams of protein. My favs are peanut butter, banana, strawberry & the chocolate. If I find the website I will come back and post the link.
  7. Jen, You are a trip. I enjoyed reading your blog and I hope everything is going good for you. I am going in on the 16th for my banding. I hope like hell they are not playing Michael Jackson in the operating room because I will freak out. LOL... Thanks for sharing.
  8. Yes there is a section labeled Feb Bandsters. I have surgery Feb 16th.
  9. I can relate with all of you. I am on day 4 of pre-op which is the optifast and I am feeling weak & very emotional. My hubby doesn't quiet understand what is going on. I have tired to explain to him that going from about 2000 calories to 800 calories a day is a drastic change on a persons body. I know it's only going to get better day to day. Hang in there everyone, WE CAN DO THIS..... Surgery date is 2/16/12
  10. I added you as a friend Erica216 since your surgery date is the same as mine. Maybe we can stay in touch and help each other out. Good luck to you.
  11. I started my pre-op diet which is Optifast on Thursday, so far so good, I have not been hungry. I also have been looking for adult liquid tylenol and my local walmart pharmacy says they don't order to much of it and when they do it gets gone. They would not let me reserve any so.... Not sure what I will do but I may try the childrens and double dose. Surgery is Thurs. Feb 16th
  12. Good Luck to you. I hope all goes wonderful. Keep us posted!!!
  13. I love this & needed this. Thank YOU for sharing.
  14. I am drinking ChocoRite Protein Shakes. It is a powder and comes in about 8 different flavors. They sale these at my doctors office. I start my Pre-op diet Thursday and I will be on Optifast then. I hope you find something that works for you.
  15. @ Angel_eyes, There are so may post on here and so many different processes it is kind of confusing. I have been asking a lot of questions when I go to my doctors visits but I just recently attended a support group and learn so much from pre-op and post-op patients. It was such a good source of info that I collected there. You will do fine. I am going to add you as a friend so we can help each other through this.....
  16. Thanks for the info. I have got to find some kind of hobby to keep myself from thinking about being hungry. LOL.... Are you on the Optifast liquids?
  17. Stace2882, That is why they told me to start doing the 2 shakes a day then a small protein filled meal in the evening. It has worked well for me and I know you can do it. I was concerned to about the milk thing too. I normally drink 2% milk but have drank 1% before so it wasn't to bad for me to go down to it. They said skim or 1% and I can't tolerate the skim so.... I hope everything goes well for you. Here is my email address myluv2drive@yahoo.com feel free to email me anytime. Also add me as a friend on here.
  18. Angel_eyes and Stace2882, I am scheduled for Feb. 16th but start my liquids Thursday. When I went to a support group meeting last week which was required before surgery date set, one of the nurses suggested anyone a week or 2 out from the liquid diet should start trying to drink a protein shake at breakfast & lunch then 3 to 5 ozs of protein & veggies for dinner. I bought some of the protein shake mix they sell in their store area called ChocoRite Protein Shakes. You can mix them with water, skim or 1% milk. I bought Peanut Butter & Strawberry Flavors. I tried with the water but couldn't handle it so I did the 1% milk and they are really good. So far so good for me doing this method for 3 days now so hopefully the Optifast will not be as bad. I hope this will help you guys get prepared as it did for me. Good luck to everyone.....
  19. cantwait2lose, How is the pre-op diet going? Any challenges I should know about? I start mine Thursday of this week.
