  3. Ok, everyone. I need some help. I dont know what is going on with my body and I am just PRAYING that i am not the only one going thru this and someone can help me. I have to start at the beginning, so here goes: I had my surgery on 12-28-2011. No problems. It went beautifully. no nausea, no vomiting, i mean nothing. I was never hungry. I have lost 50 pounds since then, which is incredible and I am very happy about that. So, i went in for a fill(my first fill) in April. And wouldnt you know it, the port was flipped! So, i had surgery the next week and they fixed me up. Again not one problem. NOthing. NO hunger, just continued with my 4 ounces of protein and 1/2 cup veggies like I had been doing. So, on May 22, 2012, i had my first fill. I got 3 ccs in my 10cc band. And was fine. I was only able to eat 2 ounces the first 2 days, and then after that, could fit 4 ounces in there and 1/2 cup veggies, like normal. so, i went for a second fill on June 19, 2012. She gave me 1 cc, so I am up to 4.5 ccs in there. I was fine for 3 days, then on Friday, it was like someone pulled the rug from under me. I am STARVING!!! like the painful kind of hunger that radiates thru my back and i am never satisifed! the first 3 days, i ate my 2 ounces, and was fine, but then on Friday i was hungry so, i ate 3 ounces of protein. But, nothing. At first, i felt full after about 3 ounces but then was hungry like an hour later. and then today. OmG! I ate 2 boiled eggs and thought I was gonna die til lunch time. I am having tuna for lunch, and am almost eating the whole 4 ounces and my stomach feels like i havent eaten in a week! I dont know what to do. I am miserable. Am i too full? Did my band break and now it is empty? Help!!!
  4. I had my very first NSV since being banded on 12-28-11! I got out of the shower this morning and my towel went all the way around me and closed in the front!!!! I just stood there and cried! It's alway amazing to me how it's the little things that make the most difference sometimes. Thanks for reading this! I just had to tell someone!
  5. The first 3 weeks of this journey we are on is TRULY the hardest(at least so far for me). It was like some kind of spell got lifted when I was at 3 weeks and one day. You CAN do this. Thank goodness for the support on here!
  6. So, I got some Biotin from my doc. It's in a capsule. Is a capsule ok to take?
  7. I had horrible gas pains after surgery. One way I found to help, was to stand up and swing my arms around like I was swimming-like a windmill. It helped SO much! I had gas problems for a week. Walking and swingin my arms like a mad woman helped. A LOT!!
  8. Ok, so , my tummy was a little nauseated(i am 4 days postop), so I came and chopped up a Phenergan in 4 pieces. One went down just fine, the 2nd, did NOT! It made me throw up a little, but didnt come up. I think it just moved a little but I think i can still feel it. What do I do?
  9. Thanks! Just knowing that I am not alone is what is helping...
  10. I need some help. I am 4 days out from being banded with plication. I woke up hungry in the hospital. Thought it was probably all that awful gas pushing on my tummy. Well, the gas is mostly gone away, although i still have some pain in my left shoulder and under my left rib. Anyway, i am on 2 weeks of liquids. I eat my breakfast meal(shake) and i can eat about half, and I feel fine. Then, like thirty minutes later, my stomach is growling and I have hunger pains like I haven't eaten in 4 months! It's awful! AND a little painful. So, then I go and drink some more of my shake that was left over. I get a few bites, then, the hunger goes away, then low and behold, thirty minutes and I am STARVING! I don't wanna be eating all the time! I DID sneak a little peanut butter in my shake tonite and it seemed to help. I did the 10 day liquid diet before surgery too. I don't have an appointment for a fill yet, my doc does them usually at 4 weeks. Is this just temporary? Did the band NOT work?
