Hello everyone!! I have not been posting a lot but I have been reading and taking notes!! That is the only way to make sure I write the correct comments to the right people!! LOL! Lady-I am at the same size as you!! 14-16 depending on the store. How exciting to look in the mirror and see your collarbone!! You stated you wanted to be able to be full at 1/4 cup, but I do not think that is the right amount. At the beginning right after surgery it was 1/4 cup, but as we have healed our stomachs have stretch again. My doctor always asks me if I can eat a full chicken breast in a 20 minute setting and I respond I eat slow so I can eat a full chicken breast (about 1/2 cup) and veggies (1/2 cup or more) in 30 minutes and he was very happy about that. As for being able to eat bread and pasta, I haven't even tried pasta, rice or soft bread. I have eaten a Panini, extra crispy and felt uncomfortable, like almost stuck. Oh and I am at 3.4cc in a 10cc band and I am not tight in the morning yet. I think you might be close to your "sweet spot" maybe just a .2cc away!! Horsegirl and Otaknam-I was stuck at 220 for awhile and it took over a month to kick that plateau, but it happened very suddenly!! Good luck! Also I was told by my doctor that the weightloss will slow down quite a bit after the first 6 mths, the body looses a lot when it has a lot to loose and looses a little when it has a little to loose. I know it sucks, but we have all lost a lot, more than any diet we have ever been on!! I keep reminding myself I know it will take over a year to hit my goal weight so why am I rushing myself!!! And I hear all of you on the water retention!!! I can't wait for Fall to get here so I can see the scale go down a little faster! Horsegirl- congrats on the new workout clothes!! That was one of my favorite NSV when my XL workout clothes were loose!! I now love shopping for workout clothes now since I can get them from anywhere instead of having to order online and hope for the best! I love to shop too!!! JDI-Don't beat yourself up for eating solids during your liquid/mush stage, I've done it too! This time I am trying to be good, but I too am hungry!! I was wondering, did you get stuck at all?? To me it is kind of a test to see if the fill did any good. You should be so proud of yourself to handle all of the stress and still loose!! In the past stress would cause us to binge, now we just have a cookie, enjoy it and move on! Go us!!! I can't believe you are down 72lbs that is amazing!!! I am looking forward to my 71lbs lost putting me for the first time in 16 years below 200!!! Erica-you made me realize I am over my halfway point too! I didn't even think of it that way!! I was spending all of my energy trying to get to Onederland that I did not thing about my 1/2 way point!!! I have lost 53% of my goal loss!!! Thanks for helping me see the good in what I have accomplished!! Chrissy-you are so right about comparing our self to what we looked like last year! My sister took a picture of me while on vacation and it is now my FB profile pic and everyone is complementing me on how good I look, so I looked at all of my previous profile pics and I totally see the difference. I also looked at my drivers license and I am totally getting a new one!! Again congrats on the Onelander and 75lbs!!! Now for my update! I got .2cc on Thursday and I am suppose to do 2 days liquids and 2 days mushies, and I am starving!! This time I am sticking to it though I would like the liquid loss!! So far I am doing pretty good on my new goals, except the exercise this week, but that is due to being on vacation, so I will start again next week which is tomorrow!!LOL. I think we should repost our goals and stated how we are doing on them at least once a week. I will try to post mine on Saturdays!! That way we can be reminded of each others goals!! Have a good week everyone and look at some old pics to give you some NSV!! Don't forget to look at your drivers license too!!

Just popping in from CA! So far so good with the stress level. I have not worked out but we are walking a lot and not eating much. I will weigh myself when I get back Thursday. I kind of think we should start a new thread, but I don't want to loose anyone or gain any weirdos. Sorry I am protective of our group. I want to start with a behavior goal of 5 out of 7 days of exercise even if it is just 20 minutes of sit ups. Tryl

It's over!!! My plateau has ceased! I weighed in at 208 this morning. Maybe I needed a slump, bad eating the a butt kicking I got last week. Maybe my metabolism just need a kick start and mt bad eating did it. Whatever it was it worked! 9 lbs to onelander!! I leave for a 5 day vacation in California with my really messed up family fingers crossed they don't drive me to binge! My goal will be to go for a walk when they become overwhelming. Wish me luck!!

what is everyone using for their max calories per day? My fitness pal has me at 1310 per day. I have no idea where it go that, but I seem to be going over it on a daily basis before dinner sometimes.

Hello everyone!! JDI-who is the person on the Firm video? or can you give us the title and year I was looking online to try it. Also I think the ice cream is totally deserved! You are so diligent in your 5+ days a week exercise you can have that ice cream. I would suggest maybe having it twice a week at half the amount each time, so you can enjoy it more often! Meredith-it sounds like we have all had a slump this month and we are all working our way out of it. Good luck getting your Mojo back!! Oh and congrats on the step-daughter compliment, those are hard to come by. My 22-yr-old stepdaughter never understood why I was wasting the family money on surgery when I should just stop stuffing my face. Oh and 148+ pulse with yoga!! I didn’t know that was possible!! Erica-I just can't believe how much you have lost in 6 months!! that is great!! I would be careful about unrealistic goals, we are all starting to slow down in our weightloss as we were told, so I would worry that 38lbs in 3 months would be too much to expect from yourself, maybe 28lbs?? Chrissy-Congrats on Onelander!! I have 8lbs more to go to get there! You are right when you talk about how much we have all lost already, it is amazing!! I do not think I have ever lost this much on any one diet before!! Ladyb-I am so glad to hear you have resolved your irritation. I was worried about you!! I always worry about something going wrong with the band for one of us. I like your behavior goals!!! So a few updates for me. As for telling people at work, I went the route of just telling everyone right off the bat. At first I felt weird about it, but then I got so much encouragement and support it amazed me! I never go that kind of support on any diet! Before no one would warn me not to go into the staff room due to excessive sweets, now they warn me and offer to get me something healthy, because they know how important it is to me. As for those of you who have not told people I totally understand and it makes sense in certain work environments. And for those who had the cat let out of the bag, I am sorry it happened that way, but I am proud of you for rising above it and not letting it lead to a bingathon!! think about it, before if someone knew you were on diet and blew it in front of them, we would all probably have drown our sorrows in chocolate!! So I told you before I wanted to get down to the next size by the 1st day of work in August and was going to buy an outfit to look forward to...well I have always loved Eddie Bauer, especially their wrinkle resistant stuff!! And they had plus sizes, but the plus sizes were not very stretchy and if you gained a few lbs, they stopped fitting all together! So now that I can shop there, yah!! I had bought a size 16 capri there last month, then they started feeling baggy at the end of the day, so they guarantee their clothes, so I took them back and explained about them getting baggy and they exchange them for a size 14 and they fit!!! Now it is their baggy style and they are not baggy on me, but they are not snug and look pretty cute!! So I am going to get my goal outfit there. I am going to try on their slacks (which fit different then the capris) and get a size smaller than I am now. I will be all ready for the 1st day of school!! As for my behavior goals: 1. workout 4 days a week this week- GOAL MET!!! Now up to 5 days this week!!! 2. log food 6 out of 7 days-ALMOST MET!! I did log every day, but not always all day, around dinner I would forget to enter, probably because I was going over?! 3. I have checked in with January Bandsters everyday and replied most days, Thank you for all of the motivation!! Oh and I really like Curves, it is exactly what I need!! I had my 2nd session there and I used my heart rate monitor and I was able to average 145! That was awesome!! If you have time to check one out near you, you can get a 2 wk free trial!! It can’t hurt and at least you get a few free workouts and something new to shake things up!! JDI- I totally agree with you on different kinds of goals. I will think on that and post different goals!! Good idea!!!

Hello all! I tried Curves. It was interesting. I wasn't sure if I was getting enough of a workout while doing it, but I hurt this morning so I would say it was good. It is all based on resistance and you determine how hard of a workout you get. I have a free week so I will try it a few more times to see if it is for me. I have logged all of my food so far this week and worked out 3 times and I have a class tonight. Ttyl!!

I was thinking maybe for Savannah's birthday goal we should not do a weight goal but a better habit goal or goals. So I am not going to focus on the pounds but on starting fresh with good habits (Niki thanks for the encouragement and support I dedicate these goals ro you and your positive attitude!) 1. I will log my food 6 out of 7 days, I know I am not perfect so I get one oops day 2. I will workout 4 days this week and increase to 5 days a week by Savannah's birthday 3. I will Check in with the January Bandsters at least 5 times a week even if it is just to say I'm still here. So today I log everything including the chips I ate, I worked out today and have a free session at "Curves" scheduled for tomorrow and I posted here tonight!! As for all of you who have been on these great vacations I want you to think about your vacations before LB and remember how you didn't put on just a few lbs. my last vacation was a cruise March 2011. I gained at least, if not more, 10 lbs and I did nothing to get it off after the cruise. I also binged out of depression for putting on the weight and gain after vacation guilt weight! So look at you now only a few lbs gained and a plan to loose it and you are not depressed!! Way to go!!! Meredith congrated on the hefty bag donations I know how good that feels.

Ok so it is a new day with a new start. I weigh .5lbs less and I'll take it! I am scheduled for a circuit class tonight and I logged in my food for the day. We are going on a field trip to McDonalds so I packed my lunch and snacks and logged them. I also took out my cash from my wallet so I won't be tempted. I want to wear a size 14 by the time the school year starts so that is my motivation. I am going to do what Niki did and get some pants for my goal!! Macy's here I come!! Maybe a cute shirt too. Then I'll hang the outfit where I can see it every day! Also I have signed up for a free week at Curves starting tomorrow!! Then I am going to do a free week at 24 hr fitness. Them decide which is better for me. I'm kind of thinking the big gym is too intimidating for me still but I'll give it a try it's free! Niki I am so glad to hear you had fun shopping. That is definitely a way to get yourself excited and motivated. The difference between now and BLS is we would get discouraged when clothes didn't fit. now we get excited because they will fit within a month or two!!

I am having a hard time holding myself accountable. Days I know I am going to be over I don't even bother with myfitnesspal. It's like I don't want to see how bad it really is. On the days I eat well I have logged everything. As for my workouts when I go to my 2 day a week training I work really hard. When I workout at home I have to push myself to do the full 40 min workout and even then I do not do a very intense level. I am just not motivated. I have an appointment with my counselor next week maybe she can help. Also I am thinking of joining a real gym that u can go to anytime instead of the personal trainer thing. I will go do that today!! Goal for today is log food and find new gym!!

Late last night I found myself falling back into old habits. I was going through all of the cabinets looking for "something" good. Taking a bite of this and a bite of that never feeling satisfied. I finally gave up and went to bed. I was thinking about that damn pie the amount of calories I just grazed over and wasn't satisfied with I could have eaten the pie slice!! I really do not like the emotional feelings and resurfacing old habits. I feel like I am still in that slump and don't know what to do to get out of it. I am good on water and I am still working out at least 3 days a week. I tell myself "one cookie today will not hurt anything" ignoring the voice in the back of my mind that is telling me I have told myself the same thing every day this week, so those 7 cookies have hurt me. I'm not gaining but I am definitely not loosing. I just really really need to get out of this slump!!!

I have also been bumped off the thread several times on my iPhone, but my computer says I am subscribed & the iPhone says I'm not. I guess we will just have to wait for an update!! I am so jealous of those who have iPads!! I want one so bad! I am entering in a raffle this summer so maybe I'll win one!! Oh I almost forgot you guys totally saved me from buying a piece of chocolate cream pie. I was waiting at the deli for my order, which of course is right next to the bakery!! I saw they had a slice of my favorite pie so I grabbed my phone and read a few entries and didn't get the pie!! Thank you ladies! January Bandsters to the rescue!!!

So as for the possible gallbladder issue it is very likely. I have been on ursodiol since the surgery and will be in it for the next 3 years to prevent gallstones. I found this like that explains it. http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/mobileart.asp?articlekey=368&page=10 I hope you don't have gallstones but maybe if you start the meds right away it will get better.

Chrissy-thank you for the support and congrats on your clothes being way to big!! It is such an awesome feeling to actually see the difference like that! Meredith-I completely understand about the scheduling of a fill appt. the doctor tells me to return in 4 wks but due to a packed schedule I never get in before 6 wks and sometimes 8 wks because of my own schedule. Niki- sorry to hear about your PB. I have not had that happen yet. Is it completely rediculous that I look forward to one!! I want the morning restriction, I want to feel uncomfortable when I eat the wrong foods and I want my sweet spot. I think that is a part of my discouragement is I have been doing a lot of this on my own and I want the "support" the bad is suppose to provide. Sorry bitching again. So I am 3.2cc in a 10cc band. I can still eat I lot, mostly I don't. But I do feel full longer. Does anyone still wake up starving??

Hello everyone! Congrats on meeting your goals and NSV!! I have actually been reading your posts over the last few weeks but have not posted. I haven't felt good about myself over the past month which affects my eating, exercise and motivation. I have only been working out 2-3 times a week, not logging my food, eating bad food and just kinda moping around feeling sorry for myself. My weigh has yo-yo 2lbs up & down over the past month. The strange thing is it has not really bothered me. I know what I need to do but I have just felt like I need a break from all of this. So I took my break & now I need to get myself motivated again. So my goal is 4lbs by 7/26!! There is my goal!! And motivation. Ttyl!

Hello everyone!! Here is a quick update. So i had my 4th fill 2 wks ago I thought I had found my sweet spot. But once on solids there was no restriction. Maybe next time. I can pretty much eat anything still and I know I shouldn't but I have been in a slump and I have been eatting pretty bad. I feel guilt for a little while then tell myself tomorrow is a new day but then I eat bad stuff again! I am really craving chocolate, but then I got my period (haven't had in 10ths due to IUD) so maybe that explains the sudden cravings and bad eatting. Maybe I should try liquids to get the sugar out of my system again? Maybe I'm having sugar withdrawal & that is what is making it hard to not eat that cookie or order the greasy fried stuff. Any ideas?? Well there is a NSV out of this. Normally I would feel so guilt for eating something bad that I would get upset & depressed & then binge then start it all over again. This time I really don't feel any guilt & don't feel like bingeing. I just find myself eating something sweet every day. But yeah I'm not depressed about it. And I am still working out 3-4 days a week and drinking most of my water. Ttyl!!

Still on the liquids until noon today. I do feel full faster & I can't guzzle water down like before. The big test will be morning real food but I think I am finally feeling restriction! "sweet spot" here I come!!

Erica try a fish entree that is normally moist & should go down easier. Also see if you can do substitutions on the veggies such as a mixed veggie or steamed broccoli those are typically softer than green beans or asparagus. Good luck, relax & have fun. No one will be watching you they probably will be too busy talking laughing & drinking!! I work at a summer camp for kids with Autism. Kymie that is great! What are your workouts like?

Ok I loved the Clinique bras too, but a huge goal was to not step foot in that store again. So I have found very similar bras at Macy's it is Olga Christina Signature support satin # 55092. Here is the website. http://m.macys.com/shop/product/olgas-christina-bra-signature-support-satin-55092?ID=542522 They are on sale right now & they often have buy 2 get 1 free. I needed jean capris for work & was kind of hoping I would need a 14, but they were still to tight. I had to remind myself this time last yr I was in a tight fitting 22. Also it has been 8 yrs since I have been able to comfortably wear a 16. So I got the 16 & the are comfy & cute!! I need a good support bathing suit for "my girls" what was that website? Do the have express shipping. I just found out I have to swim 2 days a week starting next week for my new job. Thank you for all of you kind word. I need to look back at posts & make sure I do a shout out to all of you! Love ya all!!

I change up my calorie intake based on my workouts. On cardio days I eat more calories and on weight training days I eat more protein like an extra shake, but lower overall calories for that day. I was also told to have protein at least 30 min after a workout to help your muscles. help them do what I don't know I guess I should have asked. Probably heal??
