  10. 30 pounds is GREAT!!! Before surgery it would have been so much more difficult! Are you measuring your food? Are you talking with your nutritionist, are you making the right choices, are you exercising? Answer these questions to yourself and look at the positive side of WOW, I lost 30 pounds!!! If you are doing everything the right way, you will get to your goal...be patient! Good luck, Ela
  11. Hello ya'll I've been MIA because my grad school is kicking my a$$ this quarter and I am still pretty weak Next week I am starting a 6 weeks program thru de Y called Biggest loser and I am going to attempt working out 6 times a week...I am still working on getting all my food and water in, but every day is a new and better day. I discovered I love better hot tea than cold water and have been hooked on the green tea with pomegrante and cranberries...very good, healthy and tasty... Stay well and keep positive! Ela

    January 2012 Sleevers!

just be patient and follow your diet and you will consistently lose weight...I have been loosing the same amount of weight as in the first month, so trust your sleeve!! You should give yourself 2 pounds per week to be "safe" if you want to calculate how long it will take you to get to your ideal weight...track your progress and print it for you to see it every week. If you get to a point where you are not loosing any weight...look back and see what you are doing wrong (eat the same Breakfast, lunch or dinner or not drininking enough Water or proteins). Good luck! Ela

wow!!! I can only have black beans, no potatoes, rice, sweet potatoes...no carbs )) she wants me to eat chicken salad, fish salad with veggies or fruits...I have a list of foods I am allowed to eat...soups (not creamed) and not canned because of the sodium content...so it's more work to get my food planned for the day ))

    January 2012 Sleevers!

hello ladies, I've been MIA because between work and my grad school I'm exhausted...I've been sleeping A LOT...is anyone very tired afte WLS? I got a B12 shot prescription and going to get a shot once a month...I am almost one month after surgery and lost 30 pounds...no issues except of being tired and sleeping a lot ))) Today is my birthday and I am going to CHEAT and have a small margarita )) Glad everyone is doing well!!!
  19. hello losin, try some warm drinks...like warm tea or warm milk...Propel works great for me and Water at the room temperature or tea...anything with artificial flavor like Crystal does the same to me. For the Protein shakes try the EAS they are not thick at all and I found them as being the easiest to drink. I just met with my dietician and complained to her about me not being able to drink 60-70 oz of fluids and eat all my food and she told me it's normal and as long as I try to sip sip sip and I get at least 40 oz is not bad...so do the best you can and best support person you can have is LilMissDiva ...she's already been to what we are going thru Keep a positive attitude, Ela

    January 2012 Sleevers!

Is Tylenol not helping with your headaches? Try to sip water through a straw...even so you will probably not be able to get all your fluids in and that is ok...just had my 2 weeks post up and I can barely get 45oz per day...try as much as you can... Good luck, ela
