  1. Glad to hear you are doing well! 21 lbs in a week is outstanding. I will warn you to sip, sip and sip. I am 15days post op and just got submitted back to the hospital for a kidney stone. I will be having surgery in the morning to remove it. Because us sleavers can't get the same amount of water down , the dr doesn't think I will be able to pass it. Apparently it's BIG! Hope you continue to have great success and enjoy watching that scale drop!
  2. Congrats!!! Hope I am as successful as you have been! What a inspiration you are! Got any advice?
  3. Well your weight loss looks great! How many calories are you consuming? I have been using myfitnesspal.com for about a month now to track what I'm eating. I will say that my Dr. recommends only eating 3 times a day and drinking water in between to keep me from feeling hungry.
  4. Well the first 10 days I was allowed only broth, sugar free jello and water. That went fine. Then after day 10 I was told I could add protein shakes, sugar free pudding, soups, eggs, low fat refried beans, low fat sting cheese and tuna fish and mashed potatoes. At this point I get in 1 protein shake (it takes all morning) and then I try to eat 1 other time even though I am not really ever hungry. The egg did not go down well at all. The refried beans were ok for 1 bite. When I tried Tuna I was very uncomforatble. I also tried one bite of mashed potatoes and it just sat in my throat. I have decided by body is not ready for anything other than liquids at this point. What is strange is that I fell like my sips of water are getting bigger. My doctor was not concerned and just said that was a sign that my body is healing. What were you guys eating at 14 days out. Were you not eating the things that I have mentioned? I want to make sure I am doing this right.
  5. Thanks Pdxman! I know I should add another shake at this point but it is so hard to get them down. I drink the Premier Choc Shake from Costco (30 grams protein). Looks like you lost a lot your first month so I will take your lead. Congrats on your weight loss!
  6. Hello All- I am two weeks out from my VSG surgery and I am wondering how many calories I should be getting in at this point. I am lucky if I get 300 calories at this point. I have lost 31 pounds (16 pre-op and 15 since surgery) but I don't want the weight loss to slow down from eating too few calories. Any advice would help!
  7. Yep! I was eating Tuna fish when it happened the first time. I can't eat Eggs either. Thanks for your post!
  8. I feel the same thing! I am only 14 days out so I don't know if this is normal. I feel like I have to walk around and it takes about 15 minutes to dissapate. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to eat at all. I know how you feel!
