  1. Oh dear! Are you ok? Now I am worried, my doctor decided that if she has to fill me one more time she will check for leaks??? I have had three fills up to 4.7ml.
  2. Hey there Chyna, I have a multi noduler goitre on my right side and just like you all of my tests have been normal. I had lap band surgery on December 16th 2011 ( a month ago just) and so far I am fine and waiting for my first fill. So, so far so good I assume. Laters x.
  3. Hey there, It is just your body healing and absorbing the dis-solvable thread. I am four weeks post up and mine itch as well and i did not take pain meds. Have a good one.
  4. Hey you guys, I Have done quite a bit of research on t the lap band, balloon, plication and pose in various countries and his name kept coming up and. I also kept an eye on his success/injury/slippage and infection rate. I have only heard good things so far so I have chosen to put my future in his hands, also because it is a HOSPITAL as opposed to some back of the yard clinic or worse. I paid my deposit yesterday and booked the hotel room. I am begining to get really excited now and slightly nervous, but I am going for it. The things I considered before deciding were; Who is doing it? Where? Cost Reviews After care And of course mentainance. I really did not want to spend money on fills but then again, I did not want any thing done to my stomach i.e cutting, sewing or snipping. The lap band has the 2nd best success rate behind the gastric bypass. Also the doctors performing the sleeve, plication, balloon etc and the locations made me quite nervous indeed. I hope this helps you make your decision, good luck x.
  5. Thank you both for the warm welcome,it is very much appreciated.
  6. Hello All, I am writing in from Zurich,Switzerland by way of London,England Via Nigeria West Africa. I have been stealing a read off this site for about a year while deciding on what type of surgery, finding the courage and funds and doctor to do it. Well, I have arrived. I am going to be banded on December 16th by Dr Chris Bruyne in Belguim,As soon as I pay the deposit tomorrow. It has been a long journey from, wearing my mums and aunty's clothes as a 10 year old child to loosing 70lbs on Reductil three years ago to putting it back on in four months. I have always been a sporty girl, black belt in Taekwondo, Vollyball, working out etc. I had to give these up due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and the weight came, and came and so did diabetes and high cholesterol. To cut a long weepy story short, I just want to say, thank you for this site and thanks for all the readily available advice and support provided by you all as it has helped me get here today. I will keep you all updated on my progress and will more than likely need help when I have specific questions. Have a great day and keep on being FABULOUS!
