  3. I just stumbled on this thread. I have developed left under the rib pain that hurts to breath. Sometimes it radiates to my left shoulder I'm 6 mo post op. Is this all gas? What's the best thing to take for it! Miserable in MT
  4. I am discouraged!! Banded 11/2011, list 30 lb and haven't lost any more weight since 2 months ago. Now I have a crampy pain under my left ribs. Any ideas what it might be? Going to see doc tomorrow. I have no reflux at all. I'm at 6 ml and have some restriction. Can't eat solids for breakfast, no breads etc. always have to have a hot liquid before I eat. Thoughts appreciated!!
  5. Ok.. Here goes I was banded in Nov 2011. My weight loss has stalled. I recently doubled my injury protein shakes to 2 a day and have started to lose again... FINALLY. My doc who did my surgery and the doc I am seeing now in another state have different thoughts on the amy of carbs and calories I should have daily. Please share with me your daily calorie/carb consumption. Help needed.
  6. My have shakes are called injury. Specific for weight loss surgery patients and they are yummy!
  7. I highly recommend finding a Naprotechnology Creighton model fertility Care specialist in your area. They have 3 times higher pregnancy rates than ART or IVF. Yes it is a faith based program, but I promise it's awesome! There is a great video on you tube called new hope for fertility care patients. Best of luck to everyone trying out there in lap band world!
  8. My surgeon tells all his PTs to wait 18 mo before conception? Are there dangers if you become pg sooner? Will it ruin the band? My fertility has been weird since the band. Just curious! I'm 5 mo out!

  10. I usually order fish /seafood and veggies. It's easy to eat and no risk of getting stuck while out! I never order steak out!
  11. Ok guys!! My band is in place! All looked ok on UGI!! It's just tight and I need to take way smaller bites! Gonna try the hot beverage too! Thanks for all the great advice!
  12. Great advice Luli! I hope that's what it is. The pain in at the base of my sternum, it goes away as soon as it passes! I'm happy you all posted I feel better knowing im not the only one!
  13. It so weird! It's definately a sharp pain that does get better through the meal. I did manage to have an upper gi scheduled 1st thing in am! Thank God! I am worried. I will keep ya posted.
  14. I've been banded since Nov 2011. Since my last fill I'm at 6.5 ml and when I eat solid food it hurts all the way down. Not like a stuck sensation, but actual pain. Once the food goes through I have no pain. I'm starting to worry. It all started after last fill I got stuck and had to make myself throw up. My dr is in another state, and I found a new surgeon who can't see me until the 1st. Should I go to the ER?
  15. Just noticed my typo above sorry!! Meant to say ml!! Not mm
  16. Im at 5 mm now.. Have great restriction. Would say I am almost to the sweet spot!

  19. I had my third fill 2 weeks ago and am up to 5 mm. I did not experience any real restriction until yesterday. Now everytime I eat.. I feel a lot of restriction almost painful. No problem with liquids at all. To my experienced bandsters. Is that normal?
