While it is wise to ask your doctor these questions, this IS a forum. And you are free to ask whatever you like especially since I'm finding that every doctor says something different... My doc told me to do liquids that same day, then mushies the following day, and onto solids..

    Hi Mimi!
I was banded in July and was on liquids 7 days pre op, 7 days post op. Two weeks after surgery I got mushies and 7 days after that (4th week) I was able to eat soft foods. My doctor took my fills slow and small so I didn't fill restriction until my last fill which was about 3 weeks ago and I think it was like my 5th fill. So the 4 previous fills I had I never felt any difference. Number 5 was the one. At least my doctor would see me every 2 or 3 weeks so I wasn't having to wait a long time in between times. He always tells me, after each fill, to go easy and eat a pudding consistancy for 5 days afterward. If you're feeling hungry you don't have restriction. Thats one of the signs that you are still in the green zone. Hope that helps. Good luck to you!
