I don't consider myself a "success story" yet, because I have a long way to go until my goal, and a lot to learn. But I wanted to share one way in which my life has completely changed since my weight loss.
I stopped going to theme parks about 4 years ago due to being repeatedly turned away from rides because of my size. However, yesterday I went to a theme park for the first time in years and was able to fit on EVERY SINGLE RIDE! I rode a rollercoaster!!! No more panic attack waiting to see if the bar would fit over my stomach or if I could squeeze into the seats. It was a dream come true for me. Here I am yesterday:

Little things like this make the hard work worth it.

I agree with you lol I would love to fit in a size 9/10.. I'm 5'3 and I just set small weightless goals for my self. My 1st one is 50lbs. Then 25lbs more. So the last 10 won't seem like a burden. I'm 18lbs from my 1st goal..

Gayla, I think most docs do know what they are doing but it appears you got one that didn't. I have a friend who got LBS and her surgeon put it on wrong and shortly afterwards lost his medical license over his alcoholism. He moved to Florida I hear. She had to have her band removed.
There are some bad ones out there that's for sure. And I do agree that surgeons may embelish results or screen the % of results.
My only advice for you is to somehow try to find the enthusiasm you once had for the band and try to find those positive thoughts that have been crushed by a bad doctor. Can't blame you for being pissed but the band won't work for you till you can find the silver lining in the crap you've been dealt.

I was banded Nov/2011, I was feeling the sameway but I have only had two fills. I eat until I'm satisfied. Your body will tell you when you are over eating. I don't know how many cc's I have my doctor secret. I just eat my 3 meal and drink a lot of water. I hope things get better for you
