  1. I like the GNC Pro-Performance AMP Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 in chocolate and cookies and cream. I mix them with non-sweetened vanilla almond milk (only 2 carbs per 8 oz serving!!!) and they taste great.
  2. Hi. My name is Ella and I am going to be banded on November 14th, 2011. I live in Jacksonville, FL. I am 28 years old and in a committed relationship. I've struggled with the pre-surgery diet, but I am determined to lose the weight. I need to lose a significant amount of weight - about 200 lbs. - and I chose the band over gastric bypass for safety and health reasons. I know I'll have to work twice as hard to get the results I need. I'd like to have a buddy/mentor who has been through this to bounce ideas off of and talk to.
  3. Hello All - This is my first post to the boards. My surgery is scheduled for November 14th. I'm excited, but starting to get a little nervous. I had my pre-op visits to the doctor, the hospital, and the anesthesiologist on Nov. 2nd. I am on a liquid diet until the surgery. I didn't have too much luck on my pre-surgery weight loss...it was difficult for me. So, now I have to lose as much as possible in the next 10 days. The liquid diet isn't so bad. I'm using the GNC Wheybolic protein powder in chocolate and cookies and cream. I mix it with almond milk (only 2 carbs per 8oz serving) and it satisfies my needs. My mom will be with me for the surgery and a few days afterwards. I will post again after the surgery and let you all know how it went. I also appreciate those who have posted already with handy tips and tricks for the big day. Good luck to all of you out there!!!
