  1. Thanks guys. I have 20 more pounds to go to reach goal weight. I was 341 pounds the day of surgery and now weigh 210. My surgeon was Dr. Keith Kim in Orlando, Florida. I highly recommend him. Good luck to everyone.
  2. 13 Months post-op, down 130 lbs.
  3. I weighed myself yesterday morning and i am down from 341 to 289. I need to lose 98 more pounds to reach my personal goal of 150 pounds total weight loss. My doc wants to to get down to 180..but i doubt that ever happens. LOL. Really, if i weigh anywhere near 200, i will be happy. I am a 49 year old man 6 ft 3. This is the best decision i ever made, if you're thinking about the surgery, DO IT. You won't regret it. I am going to try to eat some raw fruits and veggies this month for more Fiber. I bought a set of weights and an exercise bike, i think Santa might bring me a real bike for Christmas. (fingers-crossed) My surgeon was Dr. Keith Kim..Orlando, Florida. Great job all the way around. I eat mostly deli meats from Publix, Greek yogurt and drink plenty of Water. My supplements are as follows: Multivitamin with Iron CQ10 Omega fish oil B-12 Calcium with Vitamin D Probiotics Fiber I get all this stuff from GNC. Anyway, all i can say is it really works. My NUT says i will lose weight slower now, but that's ok. I'm in this for life. Good luck to everyone.
  4. Congrats to you. That is fantastic!!
  5. Thanks and good luck with your surgery. You will do great. Yes, Florida is great for walking and we have hiking and biking trails nearby. My wife walks with me and that helps. She is normal BMI and has never had a weight problem, she has been my biggest supporter. When i lose some more weight we will take up bike riding. I hope i remember how. LOL.
  6. Thanks Tiffykins. I have been reading on this site for months and your posts are always an inspiration.
  7. Just thought i would share. Getting the sleeve was the best thing i did for myself. I am a 49 year old male and 6 foot 3 inches. I weighed 341 pounds the day of surgery 09/27/10...this morning i am down to 305 pounds. I am following all the guidelines my NUT has set for me and try to walk 3-5 miles most every day. No way i could have done this without the sleeve, i tried many times. I encourage anyone who is thinking of this procedure to get it. You won't be sorry. My surgeon was Dr. Keith Kim in Orlando, he and all the nurses at Florida Hospital were great. I had nausea the first 2 days i was home (thank God for Phenergan) but after that i was fine. I did not even have to take any of the Lortab for pain and my scars are healing nicely. I am on pepcid for two months and then just a regular Vitamin supplement regimen. I was self pay and had to take out a loan from my credit union, but i would do it all again in a heartbeat. I know i will not lose this much weight in the coming months, but that's fine. I already feel so much better. Good luck to everyone out there.
