  1. Hi everyone. So I was banded 2 yrs ago....in the state of New York where I lived. I just recently moved to West Virgina (Summersville) and I am in GREAT need of removal of my band. NOT because its not working, because I am having sever problems with it. (Not being able to swallow, eats most foods, constant heart burn, throwing up blood at times) This has been going on for over 9 mons. I was very, very nieve and ignored all this simply because I thought it would go away! But I am at my breakign point. So heres my issue, I am uninsured, again, I lost my insurance because I moved out of state. I am TRYING desperately to get insurance so I can go to a Doctor and for removal of my band.... But when I call insurance companies to try to get (any type of coverage) I am finding many of them decline me because I have the band already in as if I have a "pre-exisiting" condition.....does anybody know of any Insurance Company I can get so I can see a BASIC baratric Dr and get this band removed due to sever complications. ANY suggestions or advice would be soooooo HELPFUL!!! Thank you.
  2. To above comment, I am COMPLETELY Unfilled. I have no fill in me and still have such problems....."and biting the bullet"...I have been for much too long- Thanks anyhow.

    Self pay

I have had these symptoms for well over 9 mons. I have been "nieve" I just assumed it would go away or maybe it was something I am doing, I am completely unfilled and still cannot eat foods or I struggle with drinking liquids.....So I guess as mentioned I will have to talk to a dr. Thank you all for the help.

    Self pay

Gosh, glad to see somebosy else is wondering the same thing as me. I despise my BAND! Its been a nightmare! Mine has nothing to do with not loosing weight- it has everything to do with being UNABLE to swallow food, eat majority(varieties) of any foods, going between 3-4 days to eat, and when I do eat, its crap food--only foods that I can easily swallow like gravy, Ice cream, yogurt, teas get STUCK......veggies or fruits-I dont even attempt any longer to eat those foods.....I am so DESPERATE, I too wonder how much it would be to get band removed being a self payee!
  5. Hi everyone. Im a newbie here, I was banded on Oct. 18th, and came home on Wednedsay evening. Since then however, I have had sever back pain in left upper shoulder and lower back, right around the tail bone area. Is this normal or did anyone else experience this?

    Banded 10-20-11

Good luck to you Hun. I was banded on the 18th of this month and I am feeling good, other than experiencing a lot of back pain. Lower & in the left shoulder. I am wondering if this is normal or others have experienced the same thing. Again, I wish you the best in your walk with life!
