  1. Butterfly - - Shame on your friend! I too am going with this where my choice to have a better life has created an issue with my best friend. While I can sympathize with her challenges about her own weight, why would you bring me down and make me feel bad about my decision? The instant - "what about me?" filled her mind and she actually had the nerve to tell me well, "great, I'll be the only fat one left in the family." (She's my best friend and cousin.) For years I have been heavier and can't stay fat because her personal image will be different now. It's sad and definitely wasn't the reaction I had hoped for. All too familiar with me - don't feel bad! We are fortunate to see that life style changes are necessary and we're bettering our lives. We cannot stay fat to save the feelings of other people. Congrats on your decision and chin up! Your friend will either have to come around and deal with it or lose a great friendship with you. HER LOSS!
  2. If anyone is considering Dr. Kelly on November 25th I would love to chat!
  3. JEALOUS you found a sleeve buddy! November 25th here...
  4. Good idea! Thank you... I am having my sister in law look into it for me as well. She works for my health care provider but not directly with my group. She thinks she can dive into it though to see.
  5. I am very curious if my health insurance would cover any complications as a result of having VSG and being self pay. Has anyone had any issues with this? I know I should call my insurance company, however, a part of me doesn't want to create a red flag either.
  6. Ivy - I saw that app for Blackberry and contemplated paying for it and downloading. Think I will now. Thank you!
  7. Congrats! I feel your pain! I'm post-op and trying to kick the habit. It's far from easy and I too am love it so even that much more difficult. One day at a time is the ONLY way I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Did you quit for surgery?
