  1. Puddin, Can you explain the Body Bugg to me? Is it annoying to wear? Do you have to enter all of your foods online at the end of they day? How accurate is it? Thanks!
  2. Wher are you getting lipo?
  3. That's great. You should be proud of all of the hard work you have put in to get to that size.
  4. Puddin, What size do you wear now? You look so tiny!
  5. Thank you Patty. I will mention it at my next appointment.
  6. I always feel like my HBP is because of my weight, which I am sure at a minimum doesn't help it. My dad was very heavy and had HBP. But somehow, I tend to blame my BP on my weight more that genetics. But then I see how many of you were around my size and had no real issues with your BP. I don't know if that is a good thing for me or a bad, but it does make me feel less guilty! (I hope that didn't come across as offensive!)
  7. I'm on a med for my BP now, but even with the meds it is around 150/120. I have an appointment next Friday with a doctor I trust a bit more. I'm going to speak with her about the lap-band as well.
  8. :embarassed: Oops! That was supposed to be a schmo - One deficient in judgment and good sense.
  9. I have HBP. It runs up to 190/160 and is one of the main reasons I am having the surgery. My doc is still trying to figure out a med to get it inder control. I am seeking a second opinion next week, because my first doc is a scmo. Anyways, those of you that have had the surgery, what happened with your BP? Did the weight loss help any of you enough to get off the meds.
  10. I don't have a google account. Is there any other way to see your triathalon blog?
  11. I want to quit avoiding mirrors. And to enjoy trying on clothes in a store. I am the queen of Target and ordering online because it seems less embarassing somehow.
  12. Is there a charge to go to the Cribbins' seminar? Is it very informative?
  13. Puddin, You sound happier than you've been in quite some time. I am thrilled for you.
  14. I was considering using Cribbins if my insurance would pay and Kirshenbaum if my insurance refused. Yesterday I went to my GP and he said he wouldn't recommend it. He doesn't think I am heavy enough. I am at about a 38 BMI and have uncontrolled hypertension. Does Cribbins require your local GP to approve the surgery?
  15. How does the doctor decide what band to use?
  16. Those of you that use Cribbins, if I see him for a consulatation during the first week of June and am going to try to get insurance to pay, what time do you think I can hope to have the surgery? Is there any was it would be done in July???
  17. Just remember, you may marry or become a Senator one day. Please, don't participate in any other compromising videos. You are such an inspirataion to me as far as working out and dieting. I also appreciate your incredible candor. I just hate you are doing this to yourself and then beating yourself up afterwards.
  18. That is so fabulous!
  19. Do both only do surgery in Houston?
  20. Thank you. Does anybody else have any recommendations?
  21. My BP is running 190/150 with meds and I am just tired of all of this. I called my insurance company and they said WLS was excluded. When I pressed they said it is occasionally approved because of medical necessity. I weigh a little over 200 and am an incredibly small framed 5' 0" woman. I was planning on trying to self-pay with Kirshenbaum, but really don't want to wait if there is any way I can the surgery approved through my insurance. Also, since I am a teacher, summer is the only time I can get this surgery. Which doctors in Texas are good docs and good about submitting the paperwork that gets approval. Thanks in advance.
  22. We have a self-funded plan, and I don't think WLS is covered by my school.
  23. I'm in West Texas as well, but don't really know any doctors in Lubbock.
