    Should I Be Hungry?

Thanks, Jennyblue. Fortunately I haven't done that again. I am slowly losing the craving for food that has little value. I'm happy about that. I've learned that I have so little room for anything at all, that I want it to be nutritionally valuable. Good luck to you. I'm 12 lbs down at two weeks out.
  2. Oh yes! Sleeping on my back makes my lower back hurt really bad! It was a week post op before I could comfortably sleep on my sides. As far as the headache, I had a super duper horrible headache in hospital (I think due to the morphine) and convinced a nurse to give me liquid Tylenol with codeine (before my barium swallow). Whew! I am prone to headaches and I have had not a one since returning from hospital. I think it is all the liquids! I used to NEVER drink Water. I am now a believer as headaches are my greatest fear! Good luck!

    Day 3 Post Op

Oh, the gas was the worst! But don't worry, it will be gone very soon. I am a week and a half out and I feel great! What a difference just a day makes! Good luck!
  4. I have not had surgery and haven't considered it until I found this site. I want to know more! Will I always be considered a "special circumstance" when it comes to eating for the rest of my life? Will I have to adhere to strict dietary guidelines for the rest of my life? If so, how is it different from plain old dieting (which absolutely doesn't work for me). I keep thinking I need to "get a hold of myself mentally" or things will always go back to the same result: FAT! I am secretly hoping that if I get lots of poundage off my body I will be more inclined to exercise and move more because it will be easier as a lighter person. I need direction! I am at the end of my hope and I have a six year old son who wants me to play with him and is noticing my size compared to other mothers.
