  1. What you are experiencing is common. I had the same thing, plus I felt like my lymph nodes were bruised. If you have ever seen an intubation (kinda gross) that is where they grip your head to get the tube in. Plus, they nicked my epiglottis a bit so I ended up having a white thing there for a few days while it healed. Definitely keep using your spriometer (or whatever breathing exercises) and you will slowly get better! Congrats on the banding!!!
  2. Well I saw the doc today and the incision has completely re-opened and the dermabond is gone. He wants me to clean it once a day with hydrogen peroxide and use neosporin. I hope it heals soon. Next appt with doc in two days.
  3. I'm generally ok. The incision has definitely pulled apart. My bro is a doc and sis a nurse so I texted them a rather graphic pic of it. I'll call my surgeon in the AM to see if they want to re-bond it. Other than that, pretty good. Mainly trying to get enough food in that I don't feel like passing out. Very happy about my decision and prepared for my long, but rewarding journey.
  4. Hi Everyone, I was banded five days ago and I am starting to see a hole in a small section of the dermabond on one of my incisions. Is it normal for it to be separating now, or did I tear something? Thanks! Ecrivaine
  5. Shirley, you are an inspiration to us all! Keep up the great work!!
  6. And if anyone can explain to me the proper way to set up my ticker, I'd appreciate it.
  7. Hi Everyone! I just got banded on Wednesday, Sep. 14 and I can't begin to explain how helpful this site has already been in making me feel like what I am going through is "normal". I look forward to taking my journey along side you guys! Ecrivaine
