  3. I was banded October 2011 and had complications from day 1. I had a very large hiatal hernia that needed to be repaired, and it wasn't. It took me 5 years and 3 months and 4 doctors later to find one that would remove it December 2016. It then took me another two doctors to make the hernia repair and do the gastric bypass for me on June 18.

  9. Hello!! I’m scheduled for my surgery for June 18th. Starting to feel a little nervous. I’m excited to start my new journey to better health. Anyone have any pointers for me? Anything would be greatly appreciated.
  10. I understand exactly how you feel.. I was banded on Oct 20 and was on a liquid diet for 10 pryor.. I was absolutely starving. I know this sounds gross, but it really helped me.. I put crunchy foods in my mouth and chew to mush and then spit it out.. Then I drink my protein shake.. This helps me. I miss chewing on something.. It's a mind game..
  11. Hang in there.. I 6 ft tall and I'm a big girl.. I hear people snicker behind my back.. I have been going through this process since Feb and I'm so ready to get this weight off. I have only told my husband, my dad, and 1 friend. I don't want anyone to know because I hear people say that we are taking the easy way out. This is so not easy.. This is going to be a ruff road and the hardest decsion I have had to make. I get upset when people tell me I put it on by myself and I should take it off by myself.. I'm awaiting my insurance approval and hopefully within the next month I will finally have my surgery.
  12. I have the same issue.. I'm 42DDD and I recently purchased some from amazon.. I got 3 different colors in the pack. Black, White, Ivory.. Also, they were for 4 hooks.. http://www.amazon.com/NuAngel-Bra-Extenders-Hook-Assorted/dp/B000BZ4SFC/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1316082751&sr=8-6 I hope this helps..
