  1. One thing I forgot to mention...I started seeing an acupuncturist. I know it might sound weird but I know she has helped me. I wish I went to her months before!!
  2. I know exactly what you are going through! I had the same problems and still do now from time to time. I am 4 1/2 months out. It does get better, I was about 4 months out before I felt better. I ended up going to a gastorial intensial doctor. I was put on Dexilant which is the strongest (and newest) medicine for the acid. I also take 1 pepcid every 6 hours and tums as needed. I have finally started to wean off the pepcid. I have a very hard time drinking anything also, if I get 32 ozs a day I have done good. Eating is easier for me by far. Hang in there it WILL get better, probably not as fast as you would like!
  3. I am still in the hospital on IV fluids. They are going to do a GI scope tomorrow to see what exactly is going on. I can't wait for all of this to be over, I was sleeved 43 days ago!
  4. I am living the same exact painful life right now. I am going to ER for IV's, can't keep anything in me. Dr has done some many test and he says everything is normal and we just have to wait for these to pass. I can't do this make longer it's truly awful! Prayers for your friend that she can heal quickly.
  5. I am new and haven't post much but have enjoyed reading some post so far. I am 3 wks post op and I am having the hardest time recovering. I have had constant nausea since day 1. I have a lot of problems getting all my liquids in. Well today I ended back in hospital for dehydration. The last 3 wks have been so bad I can't get past the clear liquid diet. Has anyone else gonna through this?

    Hi All!!

Hi All!! I am new to this site, I was sleeved on 11/30. I had what seems to be a very different experience from most people. I came home from the hospital originally 3 days after surgury. Ended up being admitted 1 1/2 days after being home for 6 days. Started a fever, white blood cells were off the chart but they didn't know anything else. I am having a hard eating and nothing settles in my stomach. It's all I can do to keep food down. I know I am not getting near enough Protein or fluids but I am throwing up. Can't wait to feel "normal"!!
