I am in the same boat Darlene. I am praying at this time that as soon as Spring hits and Summer arrives maybe I will get it back up and running... I will be able to get out of this house and ride my bike and do some hiking. But I know all to well how you feel about the banding vs bypass feelings. I was so happy at 1st and then I hit a wall and hit it HARD.. now I am moving up and down 10lbs back and forth.. it is really depressing... getting no where.. I feel like I just look gross and not getting better. I am also depressed that there is NOT ONE support group in my area.. no people to hang with and talk with. really crappy.

Hey there... I have been away from some time. I am back to give an update. I had a fill and I am now at 4CC. I am thinking I should have had a little more, but I did not know what to feel or what to do.. The doctor kept asking me if I felt it go through when I would drink that water and I told him I was not too sure.. cause really I did not "feel" anything. lol Oh well.. so I am at 4CC. I am now down to a size 16W jeans!! I was in a size 22 to 24. lol That is about it right now.

I am very happy so far. I have not had to have a fill as of yet. I was thinking that I would have to get one in December, but I am loosing again, so I am not too sure it I will still have to do that. The only thing that I am not thrilled about is that all I can find for a supprt group or anything is online here and it is not that great for me. I think that there is a support group in Dayton, but it is too much in gas to be driving back and forth to Dayton from South Charleston for a meeting. I was hoping that there would be something closer to me like Weight Watchers has... but I have not found a darn thing. I was also hoping that I would find someone to workout with.. I can work out with my Mom, but even thought she she is wanting to help, really she just makes me feel less than good enough by the way she talks to me about stuff. She is always wanting me to go exercise with the elderly with her and go to her Zumba classes and I am not into that at all. I need more than "balancing" exercises and the Zumba is too much for my knees and ankles at this time. I am starting to do line dancing in London, OH on Tuesdays nights. It was fun the 1st time I went. I wold love to do that all the time, but nothing around like that I am afraid. I am sorry if I seem like a "Debby Downer" right now. I do not mean to be.. I just really am down right now about things. BUT as for the surgery and all I am SUPER HAPPY!! Dr, Bruce is a great. I have not had any issues with him yet. Where are you located? well.. no need.. BUT thanks for the info for the next time.. I did not get a fill.. Doc said I was still loosing and no fill needed. He said try back in 2 weeks. SOOOOO we will see what comes in two weeks.

I received my card today at my Doctor visit.

I am going to the Doctor later on this morning.. so I will ask the Doctor about it.. this is the 1st I have even heard of such a thing.. Thanks for the heads-up!

Are you a Doctor Bruce patient as I am??? I would love to talk with you! I think it would be super cool to meet others in my area to have a support group and share stories and other goodies!

Hello.. just found this thread.. My name is Shelley Stewart I live in Ohio and I am 43 years old (born September 23, 1968) I weighed 315 lbs. when I started and weighed in at 297 on surgery day. My surgery was on August 31, 2011. I have not had a fill yet, but I am going in tomorrow for another appointment and will more than likely get one. I am currently 280.0 lbs.!! I started out in a size 22-24 size pants (depending on the brand and cut... SIGH) JUST YESTERDAY I WENT TO KOHL'S AND BOUGHT A PAIR OF SIZE 18!!!! WOOT WOOT!! I am so excited!! I bought a pair of APT 9 Jeans.. I find that this brand fits me the best! I really HATE the jeans at Wal-Mart.. the Faded Glory!! UGH! they cinch my waist SO TIGHT and are SUPER baggy everywhere else! I do not ever eat rice or bread. I have just been good to eat all normal foods.. but I am still afraid of bread and rice. BUT I am okay with it. I am not eating anything deep fried. I tried beef roast the other day and that went very well. If I eat pasta, I eat very little. I am really trying to cut out that starchy carb stuff. I would love to be able to talk to others that are on this journey with me.. I have found that this sight is not what I was really looking for as far as chatting with others.. this is not really much of a "support group" type atmosphere.. If any of you have Facebook maybe we can all add each other and talk there.. I dunno.. I have people added as friends on here, but they do not talk to each other.. this is a very odd sight. (to me). I really wish that there was a REAL person to person support group place near me that I could go to like the Weight Watchers group has.. That way I could meet people and maybe even make some lasting friendships, as I am new to this area and have not really found any friends. Oh enough of that.. hope I get to meet some other awesome banders like me!!

OH HA HA HA I know all too well what ya mean! My kids are trouble with the jokes.. I know now that I have NO RHYTHM! lol I was trying the game out and my eldest son walked by and said.. So.. trying it out huh? NIIICE! and laughed as he walked into his room.. He is such an a$$.. lol But he was just teasing or I would have thrown a shoe at him! LMAO

LMAO no I have not done that, BUT... I DO kill my arms doing the Rhythm Boxing!! ha ha ha I really stink at tennis.. My kids like that one though.

It uses the controller and mine came with a belt that you put the controller in on your hip to feel the moments.. I like it. I am not good at moving my hips like they do.. but I try! lol I think my swivel is broken! ha ha ha

My two sons got me my Birthday gift today! They bought me the Zumba Fitness for my Wii. I tried it out and I really like it. I even broke a sweat! lol I am going to do it every day that I can not get out or on the days that I do not do the workouts on the Wii Fit. Anyone else use the Wii? I would love to try other workout stuff. I like dancing.. I have DDR3 and I love it too!

I have went down a whole pants size, so I know I am loosing weight... I think that I am going to stick to the Wii scales and see how close that is with my Doctors scales lol I have not been able to go for that job today.. stupid rain... I wish that the rain would have been when we had our garden in and not now.. lol OH WELL.. it is all for a reason and we are not in charge of that reason. I will go for that jog as soon as I have a good day to do it. My Mom told me that I could use her treadmill and jog on that, but I am not into the treadmills.. I can not have the board-um that is brings.. no sun, no wildlife, no outdoors sounds, no change.. just the hum of the machine and the same 4 walls.. YUCK!

I may just do that.. I know I will not get to jog too far at first, but if I try everyday that I can (weather permitting), I should make it further. Just not looking forward to jogging and having all this "stuff" flopping all around.. YUCKY STUFF!!

Oh man... I am about to toss out my home scales.. it is saying that I am 3 lbs. heavier than my Wii Fit.. I am really thinking of sticking with the Wii's out come. At least it makes me feel better and actually CHANGES.. my home scales never seems to go ANYWHERE!! UGH My home one say I am 286 lbs. and my Wii is claiming I am 283 lbs. What to do.. what to do Oh on my Wii Fit.. I LOVE the Rhythm Boxing, and I really am not thrilled about the stepping one.. ALSO... If I am good with the slow jog on my Wii Fit.. does anyone think I can really go jog outside down the road?? I would love to go for a jog with my dog. I KNOW my dog would LOVE IT!!
