  1. Congrats to you that is awesome... I am 8 months out as well so we had surgery in the same month possibly.
  2. I had surgery on July 13th, 2011 and I lost 17 pre-op and 87 lbs. since surgery = Total 104 lbs.
  3. I'm doing good...down 46 after surgery but 63 total and energy is a problem right now too... but talked to the nut she told me to add in some good carbs so I am going to give it a go. Congrats on your 35 that is awesome
  4. I had mine July 13th, 2011
  5. I have probably missed your surgery by now and you are doing great I am sure... sorry took so long to get back here.. Getting use to my new schedule lol and getting enough to drink and so on. Dr. Takata and Scripps were awesome.. I hope you had as good a stay as I did. Take care.
  6. I put my protein like baked skinless boneless chicken breast into a food processor with a steamed veg I use 2 oz. of protein and 1 oz. veg just so I have more protein then veg and a little stock and blend/chop My nut said it was a good idea. I don't get enough veggies like I like but soon enough. I have one more week of pureed foods but I can't wait for a salad
  7. I would possibly look into another doctor too, the first time I saw the psych for my eval. she made me see her 2 more times afterwards because she was worried about my depression. Reason being she said because after surgery people can get really depressed because of the emotional roller coaster. Good luck on finding a new doctor and getting cleared
  8. I have Dr. Takata and my Sleeve surgery is scheduled for tomorrow makes me feel so much better to have actually read someone who has had the same doctor.
  9. I'm pretty new here... my VSG is scheduled for this Wed. the 13th. I am on day 4 of pre-op liquid diet. I was getting pretty scared there but saw my therapist today and I feel better and of course reading everyone else's stories help a ton.
  10. I hear ya about talking to your stomach LOL and boy does it talk back lol... the things keeping me sane are those popsicles and Jello lol not sure how I am going to make it 12 and 1/2 hrs without anything at all on Wednesday morning lol guess I will sleep late.
  11. My surgery is on July 13th as well and the pre-op liquid diet is 5 days long and has been hard. It is now the third day and my stomach isn't hurting AS bad but the hunger is still there.. I went to a health food store and got different flavors of broths and miso soup and lots of sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello. I drink my protein shakes and tons of other liquids and when I just can't stand not having anything to eat I get my popsicles and jello out lol. I stayed home a lot during this time because popsicles don't travel well lol and the SMELLS of food would make my tummy hurt. Good luck with pre-op and good luck with surgery
  12. I am not completely ready. I have bought some more liquids (mushroom broth, beef broth, protein shakes.. etc.) My surgery is Wednesday and I can't wait till it's done and over with because I am hoping that I won't have these hunger pangs. I have been on liquid diet 3 days as of today and it's a little better but I'm hungry and then again I'm not so hungry, my stomach says I'm hungry lol...and I dream of food hahahaha. The liquid diet alone had me thinking I am not going to make it till Wed. but today it's a bit better so I have hope that I will make it... one more hard hurdle on Tuesday midnight I am aloud no food or liquid and surgery is at 12:30pm on Wed. oh well just can't wait hoping everything changes after surgery (with tummy hunger feelings).
  13. Congrats my pre-op is on that day and my surgery is July 13th so another July person Congrats again
