  1. Hi I'm Dina and Tuesday I will be 6 weeks post-op... ( The hard stomach might be due to the gas they pumped into your stomach for surgery so yeah for the burps. I had pain and nausea until he removed my 'bomb' aka drip bag on day 2. For the first month I took Prilosec (not sure of spelling) to help with the stomach acids. Remember no straws for 6 months, don't talk for 15 seconds after your take your sips that adds air to you stomach. You should be on clear liquids still only what you can see through like Jello, broth, Water. everything should be room temperature not hot or cold. When you have it removed like I read on here take a deep breath and it will be gone, matter of fact take a deep breath close your eyes and it'll be out. Make sure you are walking every hour,,,walk, walk, walk as my Dr. always said... Make sure you keep notes and take them to the Dr with you so you don't forget

  3. I agree about the taste - cherry is what I use - just takes a couple of swallows but FYI the Miralax you have to use it several times before it works and for me I could taste the grit... but that's me. Not like there is a lot in your bowel but it need to learn to learn to have movements again on it's own.
  4. Phillips Milk Of Magnesia works overnight, the only thing that worked for me and I'm 6 weeks post-op.
