  1. Thanks Ladies I guess that makes sense, in my mind I keep comparing it to what I eat now.. which is way more than I need. I know this a good thing and that I worry to much!
  2. Hey I've been talking to a patient facilitator and I'm booking a surgery with Dr. Almanza for October!! I'm just Really nervous about what happens after the surgery - in respect to eating. I can't seem to wrap my head around the idea of going out to dinner with friends, or a date and only eating 3 or 4 bites of food. How do explain to people that you don't hate the food, but that you really can only eat 4 bites. What do people think when you don't eat? I am doing this whole process alone, I haven't told anyone... I guess partly because I'm embarrassed and partly because they would be less than supportive about me flying to Mexico for surgery. But if I come home, and never eat, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to tell them. I'm only 25 and the idea of eating Soup or mashed potatoes for 50 years scares the crap out of me. I want to eat healthy.. I can order a salad, but I have to know that I can eat it....I need to know that I can eat solid food some day... I keep reading about vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and I start to panic and wonder if I'm doing the right thing. Any reassurance that I will be able to eat, drink and at least appear to be sane would be greatly appreciated !
