[background=#ffa07a]Well, I have had a problem with my weight ever since I can remember. Each year I steadily gained 10-20lbs per year. When I was 15 I got into a serious relationship that lasted for 6 years. It was a very mentally/verbally abusive realtionship and he preyed on the fact that he could hurt me by teasing me about my insecurity with my weight. It then stemmed a bigger problem-addiction. I started unconsiously eating snacks and junk food all the time. My portions got bigger. I figured if I was gunna be teased about it I might as well not even try to get better. I woul go out at night and get junk food after everyone was sleeping and ultimately gained about another 50 lbs. After I left that all behind and started a new life, I still had this huge problem hanging over my head keeping me from having the confidence that i craved to go out and accomplish all the dreams I had. I have tried every diet and program that existed, every pill, I had even seen a therapist. I had given up on the fact of ever being confident and healthy. Then the healthcare law was passed....and I was able to be added back onto my parents insurance. This started a flurry of thoughts and ideas from both myself and my mother. She suggested maybe thinking of the lapband. I laughed. I had heard so many bad stories and I thought that people would look at me like I was taking the easy way out. It was completely the opposite. I scheduled my surgery for March 1st, 2011. two days before, I decided not to go through with the surgery. It was such a huge life changing event and I didn't want to go into it with doubts. Now, 6 months later, after much thought and preparation and diet failures, I am ready for this journey. My surgery is scheduled for September 15,2011. I have never been more ready.[/background]

I am in the process of having the sleeve done in Sept and couldn't be more excited. Hopefully this will be the beginning of the new life I was hoping for. I am getting married next July to the best man I could ever ask for. I would love nothing more than to not only take his breath away on our wedding day, but perhaps my own as well. Wish me luck![/background]
