Gas Pain In Right Side After Lap Band Surgery
Try a heating pad on it. That helped me a lot. Have you used any kind of Gas X or something like it? Sometimes it's referred pain and not really gas at all. Just like when people have pain down their arms or jaw before a heart attack. Their jaw or arm is not having a heart attack. It's referred pain from their heart. My Dr says this is common. It will eventually go away. Hope this helps and blessings on your new weight loss journey. Blessings, GG

Still having lots of gas after 10 weeks post op
If it's the painful post op gas hopefully it will subside. Mine lasted about a week. The shoulder pain was the worst. Keep up that walking and I'll let you know if the probiotics help. Blessings, GG

Still having lots of gas after 10 weeks post op
This isn't painful gas. I had that post op and a heating pad did help. This is just like the gas you have if you eat Beans or cabbage. But, I cannot tie it to any foods that I eat. GG

Still having lots of gas after 10 weeks post op
I am 10 weeks post op and still having lots of gas. I know Protein drinks do it to me but I do not have them often. I am staying on my program, eating sensibly, drinking my Water, and getting in my protein. Weight loss has been slow but pretty steady. I had the shoulder gas pains post op and this is not it. Just plain old gas! My Dr put me on Flagyl for a week and told me this happens to some people. It's because of the drastic change to our digestion. He thought that would do the trick. It did not. I tried Gas X and it did nothing. I do not drink carbonated drinks and I am out of ideas. Has anyone out there had this? I just got some papaya enzymes and hope that will help. I have taken Beano in the past so I guess I will try it again too. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Blessings, GG

Love my Dr in Raleigh NC!
Any of you out there looking for a wonderful Dr in the Raleigh NC area be sure and check out Dr Scott Bovard. His office is in Rex Wakefield and I can't say enough good things about him and his staff. I had my surgery 4 weeks after going to his info seminar. He does not require an upper GI test. He says he will fix a hernia if there is one and it keeps his patients from undergoing another test. If you want a sleep apena test he will order it and if you want to borrow his apena testing machine and take it home and do the test first at home you can do that. He sees you for all the office visits and I have never waited for him. He does all the fiils himself. I have had 8 surgeries and this was my best and easiest. How many Dr's do you know that give you their cell phone # for weekend problems? I went to two other large practice info sessions and they both seemed like factories putting people thru the process. If you want personal attention and a really great office staff to help you try Dr Bovard. Email me personally is you need more info. I have been very pleased with my whole experience and wanted to share this great Dr with others that might be looking into having surgery. Blessings, GG
