Hi everyone! I was banded 10-6-11 & have about 4.6 in a 10cc. Every sense my last fill 2 months ago I have been having intense (1 to 2 hr long) left shoulder pain. It is very painful. At first it seemed to happen if something were stuck or maybe I ate to much but now it just seems to happen all the time. The only relief I can find is basically laying on that shoulder for an extended amount of time. The pain will go away but as soon as I get up it is back full force. I have been really tight from this last fill & have only gone down 4 lbs. I can't eat before 1pm or my food just slime's back up...so can someone please help me out with some well needed advice.

I have a lot of discomfort from my port. At my last fill my Dr. said it has turned on its side but I was still able to get a fill.

I got my first fill yesterday. The fill itself was not very painful but uncomfortable. My Dr. said the first one is the worst & from now on it will be a breeze. Before my fill I could eat anything at about half the volume I did pre-surgery. Yesterday after the fill I had a hard time getting Soup down. I am super tight. It it doesn't relax by Wed I am going to have some taken out. I had 1cc from surgery & the Dr. put in 2cc yesterday so I have a total of 3cc in a 10cc band. I really want to get this weight off so if I can bear through this I will. Good luck & prayers for everyone!

Good morning all, I am feeling great. I met with my Dr.last Friday & she said I can get my 1st fill next week. She will do 2 to 3cc fill on Friday & it will be 3 weeks post op for me. I am super excited. At this time I am hungry & can eat normal. I am looking forward to some restriction.

I was banded on the 6th also. I went up 6 lbs after surgery which I am looking forward to falling back off. It sounds like you are doing well with your healing & that is great. It is an emotional experience for me also but we are on our way now, hang on for the ride!

I am on day 4 of post op & am doing well. Still really sore but I feel more like myself today. How is everyone else doing?

Well tomorrow is my big day! I am self pay through Care Credit & today I got my first bill today. I think it's funny to send off my first payment when I haven't had the surgery yet...but it is in the mail now. I hope everyone scheduled for tomorrow does exceptionally well. Prayers for all.

Good Morning, It is the start of a big week for a lot of us. I go to my pre-op appointment today. Thursday is my big day & I am excited...and nevus too. Like the above posters I have a mixture of emotions running through my head but I know I am doing the right thing. Good luck this week everyone!

Good Morning All, How is everyone doing with the pre-op diets this week? I have been struggling alot but the hunger does go away after a while. I feel like a crazy person sometimes when I can't stop thinking about food. I am very much looking forward to this time next week when I wake up Banded! Prayers for you all, Lisa

Cynsayshun - what a good idea to wright a letter to our family's, etc. I am going to do that today. I hope yall are doing well today! I had a very hard day yesterday with my 1st day of pre-op. I can have 3 Protein shakes a day & no food. By the afternoon my mind was plotting against me. I was going a lil crazy but I made it through with minimal cheating...I had a couple bites of cottage cheese and a handful of chicken at dinner time so I didn't drink my last Protein shake. I was so tired I was asleep by 8pm which is absolutely unheard of for me. My head is still aching since yesterday & it brought on aunt flo early... I know today will be better & this is totally worth it. I can do it! We can all do it!

Hello new friends! I'm Lisa & my surgery date is Oct.6th @ 7:30am. I live in Paris, Tx which is 2 hr NE of Dallas. I started my pre-op diet today, it consists of 3 Myoplex shakes a day & clear calorie free liquids only...I am pretty nervous right now. I went out for my "last supper" last night with my DH & my 3 yr old son Blue. We had my favorite Sushi! I am so excited about the new life I will have starting today! I can not wait to be healthy. I have diabetes, hypothyroid, GERD & high blood pressure. I am 32, 5'1" & as of this morning I weigh 196.2. My dad had gastric bypass 4 yrs ago & I took care of him the whole way through. He has lost all his extra weight & kept it off. He is going to come help me through my surgery & I can't wait to see him! So what name are we going to give ourselves? Any ideas?

A bra extender won't help with cup size. It may be a few months before you go down in bra size. If I was uncomfortable in the bra I was wearing I would definitly order a new one now. I wear a 40 DDD so I understand bolder holders. When I was younger I wore a 36 G also & it was very hard to find bras. I had good luck at Fredricks of Hollywood.

I just got approved today for $ needed. I will find out my surgery date tomorrow! I am joing you at the Top of the World!
