Greetings!
August 17, 2011
Where do I start?   I guess with the facts.  I was 330 pounds in 2004, miserable and overall unhappy.  I had health problems and those health problems were a major concern of my doctor.  I had tried weight loss pills, going to the gym…………the reality was I LOVE FOOD & found comfort in eating various meals and planning the night before what would be on the menu the following day.  In 2004, I had the Gastric By-pass in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  All went well with the surgery and it was TRULY the best life changing decision I had made (to date.)

In 2004, my weight going into surgery was 330 pounds.  In March of 2010, my weight was 167.  Life took me on a roller coaster ride and my weight spiraled out of control again and I was eating and enjoying every moment of it.  Within one year, I had managed to go from 167 to 247…..Huge weight gain, right?  In February 2011, I made the decision to talk with my doctor about my weight gain.  My doctor suggested I talk with a Bariatric Surgeon here in Greensboro, NC.  Long story, short version….June 28, 2011, I had the lap-band.  I am down 26 pounds to date (within an almost two month time frame.)
