  1. I got a fill last week and I to have had the stuck problem today. This is fill three and I have had no problems before this fill...or should I say no bad problems. Today I was going to eat a couple of chicken nuggets with my Daughter at McD's. I always chew these well, and did today but today was the day that my body didn't like them. I stopped....they went down. Tonight at dinner we had leftover chicken fingers from last night. The first couple of bites and I was up. I walked...bent over....groaned....and foamed like a mad dog. Or actually slimed. and slimed and slimed and got sick and got sick....each with a episode of thinks i was over it. The last time....I think I saw toe nails in it. I am going to hit liquids for a few days and rest my body. Just wasn't a good day....put I can bare it!!
  2. I made my own. Whey powder...I have chocolate and vanilla. Turani Sugar free flavored syrups. I use ice cubes, skim milk a scoop of whey. Then add to. For chocolate I add a few slices of frozen banana and about a teaspoon and half of peanut butter....oh so good. With Vanilla.....one scoop whey, 2 frozen strawberries, 1 tablespoon jello sugar free cheesecake pudding mix and the about ice, milk and whey. OH SO GOOD!
  3. By day 7 mine was all gone. It was like I woke up and felt like a real person again. WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK and the WALK some more. Praying for relief! Good Luck with weight loss!!!
  4. I am three weeks out. I was suppose to be on liquids for 2weeks post op then mushies 2 weeks and then slow introduce solids. I too was starving by day 6 and introduced protein shakes. This helped. Two days before mushies I started with thinned refried beans for dinner and they stayed with me much longer and I slept better. Now I have oatmeal for breakfast, greek yogurt with no whole fruit for snack, tuna with a dot of mayo and dot of pickle relish for lunch and for dinner I have tilapia with a small amount of pico de gallo and lemon. I drink 64 oz of water a day. Every other day for breakfast I have a homemade protein shake. I also walk at least 1 mile a day. I am on myfitnesspal.com and it has a smart phone app that is great....helps out alot. if you want to join I am always game for friends and we can support each other there also. Good Luck!!
  5. I was banded on August 11, 2011 and I too have had no problems. I don't chug water but I take good sips. I am starting on normal food and I too stop at the full feeling. No bad affects. I too burp a lot but I think that will pass. I am loving the new feeling already. I can't wait for the weight to drip off. WooHoo....loving life!! BTW....join My Fitness Pal if you have a smart phone....holds you accountable....great food journal with a scanner to read bar codes on food!
  6. I am so glad to hear all this. I was banded 8-11 and went for my two week check up. I had lost 10 lbs but that was within the first week or so. I walked 4 days this week and if any of you live in the south you are wondering why I didn't sweat 10 more lbs off. The dr. seemed pleased so I have til the 16th of Spet before my fill. I want to see what I can do for me!! Good Luck to all you!
  7. I had my surgery on 8-11-11. I go back to the dr. on 8-26-11. What is the normal amount of weight lost on the first visit. I had a 5 lb loss during the protein part of the diet and just wondered if there should be a great loss ehen I go back to the dr. I have just started exercising....or walking.
  8. I had to be on clear for a few days and them just liquids for the rest of two weeks. I had surgery 8-11-11 and those I was going to starve to death on days 5 and 6. Day 7 I added protein shakes, oatmeal soup and very thin refried beans. I either had oatmeal soup or a protein shake for breakfast, pureed and strain veggie soup for lunch, greek yogurt snack and refried beans for dinner with lots and lots of water. 64oz with crystal light. It is hard but we can do it!! Good Luck!!

  13. I also like to make my own. I have both vanilla and chocolate whey. Skim milk is a must.. With Chocolate sometimes I add a like Turani sugar free syrup (vanilla) and a little Peanut Butter. It is mmmmmm. I also use the vanilla with a little Jello sugar free cheesecake pudding mix and sometimes also add a couple of strawberries to it. I have a personal blender that makes 2 cups so that is what I use for one day. Hope that helps. Experiment.....google homemade Protein shakes. Turani's flavored syrups are great. They are in coffee creamer section of wal mart.
  14. I have a magic bullet blender. Just a small one or two glass blender....can be used as a glass straight off machine.
  15. I added a little chicken broth and veggie soup zapped it in the bullet and the used the strainer. I was very filling.
  16. I have liquidified veggie soup also. My surgery was 8-11-11. I also thinned refried beans. I have had them for dinner the last two nights and they have filled me where I rest better.
