Hey - I just had all my 4.5 oz removed from my band because of an upcoming trip to rural China. We were concerned about issues I may have over there (and no way to get help). I will have it put back in mid-November. Anyway, I never even thought to ask my doc but has anyone else had a removal of Fluid? I am very nauseous and having diarrhea/gas (sorry if TMI). Is it just my stomach getting used to more food at one time? It is very strange feeling. Any help advice/appreciated. I am leaving the country and 36 hours and want to know if this is normal. I feel your pain! I was banded 7/27 and have lost 20 lbs. Have not lost an OUNCE since my 2 week post op. I have had 2 fills and still nothing. I am very frustrated. i did have a reassuring meeting with someone last week. While waiting on my 2nd fill, I was chatting with a woman in the waiting room. She was banded in 2006 and only lost 20 lbs her entire 1st year. Her second year the weight started melting off and now she has lost 180 lbs! So, everyone is different. I have to hold on to that thought. Hang in there!!!

Hi - I was banded on 7/27 and my band had 3ccs. Didn't have any restriction to speak of and was starting to get discouraged as the weight was not coming off and I never felt full. Anyway, I got my first fill yesterday (was so stinkin' excited) and got 2ccs. I did liquids yesterday and my doc said I could go back to regular food today. Today, I could barely get my Protein shake down and got stuck with cottage cheese and then tomato Soup. Do you think this is just swelling or did they add too much? I don't want to give up and have an unfill if I don't need it but this isn't living... Thanks!

Thanks. I went back this morning and had 1cc taken out. I couldn't get anything but water down and that was questionable. I feel so much better today! But taking it easy until tomorrow.

I was banded 7/27, with no pre-op diet, and I am down 22 lbs. So ready to be on full liquids or mushies or pizza (HA!). Go see my Doc on Thursday so I am going to beg for some mushy food. So proud of us all, Lynn

Hi all - New here. I was banded last week on 7/27. Doing great. No nausea or vomiting, just some sore incision sites and sore left shoulder. Oh yeah, starving! So over the liquid diet but I am obeying. This is my question. I am losing a lot of weight rapidly. I am on day 6 and have lost 22 lbs. I am not complaining at all but is this normal?
